Obituary: Cora Graby Limmroth - Born 21st, 1917, a native of Annville, PA and a resident of Mobile, AL since 1951 passed away 28th, 2011. She was the wife of Weldon E. Limmroth. A graduate of Annville High School and Lebanon Valley , she received a BA degree with majors in Latin and French and minors in English, History and Social Studies. Cora taught Latin, French and Social Studies at Warwick Township High School in Rothsville, PA. During World War Two she worked summers at Indian Town Gap Military in the office of Transportation Corps Training . It was there she met her future husband, Weldon, and they were married after WWII. She was a member of St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church where she taught school classes for many years, served on the church council, an active member of Lutheran Church Women for more than fifty years, a member of the Opti-Mrs. Club and served as president and long time treasurer; member of the Mobile Auxiliary Power Squadron; life member of the Womens Club; member of the Azalea City Womens Club, the German society, and a member of a panel who discussed Great Books of the Western World. She also was an assistant, along with two other mothers, to a Girl Scout Troop of twenty-one girls from Brownies through the seventh grade and assisted with a Cub Scout Troop. She set up a scholarship fund at Lebanon Valley for needy students. She was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon E. Limmroth; a son, Ronald Eugene Limmroth; parents, Mr. And Mrs. Amos Graby; twin brother, Henry Long Graby; and sisters, Emily Graby Seward and Mildred Graby McConnell, Jr. She is survived by a son Gary Weldon (Sheila) Limmroth of Tuscaloosa, AL and a daughter, Karin L. Limmroth of Paris, France and New York City; a brother Charles L (Lillian) Graby; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and several great, great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mobile on , 1, 2011, from 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. funeral service. Visitation will be held at Radney on Dauphin Street on , 31, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Interment will be in Pine Crest . Obituary: Services will be , at 2:00 pm, at Collier-Butler Chapel for Mr. Robert Bob Lowe Limbaugh, 89, of Gadsden, who passed away , 12th, 2014. The Pastor Mike Hengle will officiate. Interment will be at Crestwood Memorial . Bob was born and raised in Ala. City and graduated from Emma Sansom High School. graduation he enlisted in the Airborne Engineers and later transferred to the Aviation Engineers. He served in the Pacific on New Guinea, Biak, Manila in the Philippines Islands and Japan. He was in the invasion of Luzou, where he was wounded. He was awarded the Purple Heart and the Soldiers Medal for Bravery. Mr. Limbaugh was a faithful member of Parkway Community Church. He was employed by Republic Steel for 37 years and retired as a supervisor in the basic oxygen furnace. While growing up he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Bob was a Master Mason in Dwight Lodge #550, The Scottish Rite, a Shriner of Zamora Temple, and he belonged to the VFW post 8600. He also was a member of the American Legion, the D.A.V., and The Military Order of the Purple Heart. He was honored to be on the first Patriot Flight from Etowah to fly to Washington to visit the World War II Memorial. He was also inducted in the Patriots Hall of Honor. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas J. Limbaugh; mother, Etta Limbaugh; sister, Betty Lawley; brother, Curtis (Marcilene) Limbaugh. Bob is survived by his son, William Chuck (Jennifer) Limbaugh; daughter, Janet Clowdus; grandchildren, Zac (Allyson) Fuller, Adam (Maghan) Fuller, Billy (Karry) Beck, Annette Bell; great grandchildren, Keith (Devin) Partee, Haley Mullins, Jacob Bryant, Kimberly Bryant; and great great grandchild, Jordan Partee. The family would like to express a special thanks to Dr. Akisanya along with his staff and to the V.A. The family will accept friends from 1-2 p.m., prior to the service. |
