Obituary: Leonard K. Luongo passed peacefully from this life on 14 in the loving arms of his daughter. At that moment, he saw the 2 most important people in his life; his Lord and his loving wife, Frances, whom he longed to be with again since she was called home on 19, 2007. The years have been challenging for him since her passing. were truly devoted to one another, and now they are apart no more celebrating a long anticipated heavenly reunion. Lenny was born on 22, 1929 to Bessie and Nicholas Luongo in White Plains, NY. He had a lifelong career in the food service business. He was a wonderful husband, father, and a friend to many over the years. Lenny is predeceased by Frances; his parents, Nicholas and Bessie Luongo; and sister, Vickie. He is survived by his sister, Marie; daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Bob Doyle; son and daughter-in-law, Nick and Brigette Luongo; grandchildren, Kaitlin and Meaghan Doyle and Nicholas, Matthew, and Joshua Luongo; and nieces, Mitzi Kratt and Karen Notess. Friends may visit with the family on , 18 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Mitchell , 7209 Glenwood Avenue. The Holy Mass in honor of Lennys life will be , 19, 10:00 a.m. at St. Josephs Catholic Church, 2817 Poole Road, with final rest at Raleigh Memorial Park. Obituary: Henrietta (Etta - Ladybug) Allen Makoid Luongo, 94, peacefully passed away on 28, 2014 at Rex Rehabilitation and of Apex. She was born on 24 1920 in Campbell Kentucky to Charles and Blanche Allen. She is survived by son Michael Makoid and daughter-in-law Bette Evans, son Alfred Makoid and daughter-in-law Lois Makoid, grandchildren Elizabeth Makoid Dyer and grandson-in-law Bryan Dyer, Andrew Makoid, Meghan Makoid and grandson-in-law Gregory Hauser, Terence Makoid and granddaughter-in-law Sara Johnston, and great grandson, Michael Dyer. In her younger days Etta was a beauty consultant for Helena Rubinstein travelling the United States. She was a life long fan of Frank Sinatra, Broadway, and the movies. She could accurately predict every major Academy Award winner for most of her adult life. She married Alfred (Al) Joseph Makoid in 1944 and together had two sons, Michael and Fred. lived in Wisconsin, Texas, Michigan, and Pennsylvania until Al’s passing in 1958. In 1962 she married Guy R. Luongo and lived in New Jersey and Florida. She and Guy owned and ran the Azo Motel in Sea Isle City, NJ. Guy’s passing in 1981 she moved from Florida to North Carolina in the early 90’s to help care for grandchildren Meghan and Terence. She continued her entrepreneurial endeavors with childcare and will be fondly remembered by many Raleigh children as “Ladybug.†She moved her care giving in her later years to animals and became “Mrs. Doolittle,†caring for some of the finest cats and dogs in the Raleigh area. She became a resident of Capital Towers on Six Forks Road and a leader of various activities for her fellow residents, adopting dogs, Academy Awards night, cooking and baking and Derby Day from her Kentucky roots. A favorite Sinatra song sums up her very full life, “I did it my way.†No matter what you called her Mom, Mom Mom, Ladybug, Mrs. Doolittle, Hen, or Etta, she will be greatly missed. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 120 Jefferson Street in Swedesburg, PA on , 10th from 10:00 to 10:30 am. A Requiem Mass to follow with burial after the Mass at St. ine’s , Bridgeport, PA. Born in Vietnam on 1, 1951, he came to Charlotte in 1993 and was a member of the Lien Hoa Temple.
