Obituary: Letty Pearce Liles, 82, passed away , May 29, 2016 surrounded by her loving and caring family. Letty was born in Franklin to the late Willie Davis Pearce and Lettie Strickland Pearce. She retired as an administrative assistant from the NC Department of Human Resources. For many years Letty was very active in the American Business Womens Association. As long as her health permitted she was a faithful member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. service will be held at 2:00 pm, , 1, 2016 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 8400 Poole Road, Knightdale, NC 27545. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, , May 31, 2016 at L. Harold Poole Service & Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale and other times at the home, 4909 Old Faison Road, Knightdale, NC 27545. She is survived by her daughters: Gail L. Medlin (Larry) of Oxford and Gwen L. Smith of Knightdale; grandchildren: Matthew Smith-Short, Mark Medlin, Johnathan Smith; great-grandchildren: Willard, Mae, and Katie; sister: Shirley Hodge of Knightdale. Obituary: Glenn Allen Liles Mr. Liles, 87, of Charlotte died Feb. 28, 2011 at home with his family by his side. He was born in Montgomery , NC on 14, 1923 to the late Crota Allen and Robert Lee Liles, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lois, on 24, 2010; and by his brothers Robert L Liles, Jr. and Jimmy Liles, both of Candor, NC. He was retired from CSX after 40 years of service. Glenn was a wonderful father and grandfather who loved nothing more than his family. He was a kind man with an incredible wit and sense of humor, and will be missed by everyone who knew him. Mr. Liles is survived by his daughters, Glenda Thompson and husband, Sam, of Charlotte and Susan Friedman and husband, Miles, of Manassas, Virginia. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Matt Thompson of Charlotte, Ben Thompson of Chapel Hill, David Friedman of Manassas and Diana Friedman of Manassas; and his brother Henry Van Liles of Morganton, NC. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to our Hospice angels, Carleen, Marcy, Mike and J.D., and also to his wonderful neighbors and to his dear friend, Dean. You will forever be in our hearts for the love and caring you showed our father and grandfather. There will be a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. on , 5, 2011 at Sharon Memorial Park.
