Obituary: Ramona D. Lemire, 80, of Hooksett, NH died 6, 2009 at her residence after a period of declining health. She was born in Manchester on 20, 1928, the daughter of Edward J. and Jeannette (Ouellette) Renaud. She was educated in the Manchester Parochial school system. Prior to retirement, she had been employed as a bookkeeper for her husbands company, A.E. Lemire Plumbing. Ramona loved bowling and enjoyed watching television shows with her family. A devoted Christian, she spent much of her time reading the bible as well as mentoring many of her caregivers through the years. Above all else, she loved being home surrounded by her family. Her husband Armand E. Lemire died in 1996. Members of her family include two daughters, Diane Baines and her husband Alfred of Goffstown, Jeanne Bickel of Hooksett; one son, Armand E. Sparky Lemire Jr. and his wife Jane of Gilmanton; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; many nephews, nieces, and cousins. The funeral service was held , 9, 2009 in the Manchester Christian Church, 1308 Wellington Road, Manchester. cremation, urn burial was in Mt. Calvary . Obituary: Madeleine C. Lemire, 81, formerly of Manchester, died 27, 2011. She was born in Manchester on Nov. 22, 1929, to Joseph and Berthina Boisvert. She lived in Manchester most of her life and had wintered in Lakeland, Fla. for many years. Her early career was spent in the mills, where she learned to work fast. Whatever task she took on throughout her life, such as sewing clothes for her family, wallpapering or making crafts, among her many talents, was done at astonishing speed. She later retired from the City of Manchester after working at City Hall for many years. A lifelong Democrat, she volunteered for many campaigns. She was a communicant of the former St. George Church. She attended the fine arts program at Notre Dame and accomplished many pieces in her spare time. She was an excellent cook and had many recipes, including her special noodles, which she served with poultry and which were always gobbled up. She loved baking beans, and she perfected the art of making crepes. She loved to travel and took many trips with her family. She also enjoyed playing cards with her friends. Her husband of 59 years, George Lemire, died in 2008. Her family includes four children, Priscille Lemire of Epsom, George Sonny Lemire and his wife, Marie, of Wells, Maine, Ronald Lemire and his wife, Paula, of Candia, and Muriel Stillman and her husband, Peter, of Epsom; five grandchildren, Nancy Welsh, Karen Vachon, Heather Lemire, Sarah Geisser and Zachary Lemire; two great-grandchildren, Lily Geisser and George Welsh; her brother Florian Phil Boisvert of Hooksett; and nieces and nephews. She was born in Franklin, NH on 28, 1924, the daughter of George and Rose A. (Hebert) Turcotte. She attended St. Mary Grammar School and graduated from Franklin High School in 1942. Prior to retirement, she had been employed by the City of Manchester in School Food and Nutrition Services. Lillian was a self-taught musician who enjoyed playing the piano and dancing. She played darts and bowled in several local leagues and held membership in the Catholic Daughters of America while residing in Franklin. She and her husband loved to entertain family and friends at their home and travel together. Above all else, she loved spending time with her grandchildren who held a special place in her heart. Family members include her husband of 60 years, Clement Lemire of Manchester; four sons, Brent Lemire and his wife Lisa of Litchfield, Bruce Lemire and his wife Edie of Goffstown, Brian Lemire and his wife Vicki of Goffstown, Bradley Lemire and his wife Bettyann of Enfield, CT; her grandchildren, Matthew, Kevin, Ryan, Benjamin, Devin, Stephanie, Brendan, and Christina; two great-grandchildren, Elijah and Noah; many nephews, nieces, and cousins. Obituary: George A. Lemire, 81, of Epsom, formerly of Manchester died 22, 2008 in Lakeland, FL after a long illness. He was born in Manchester on 24, 1927, one of 12 children to Treffle and Marie (Roberge) Lemire. He lived in Manchester most of his life and had wintered in Lakeland for many years. During World War II he served in the U.S. Army in Italy. He later served in the U.S. Navy Reserve. Mr. Lemire was a master plumber who began this lifelong trade with his brother, Armand. He later retired from the City of Manchester where he worked at the wastewater treatment plant. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, the American Legion Post 79, the Knights of Columbus, the Alpine Club and the Rimmon Club. He was a longtime communicant of the former St. George Church. IN HIS LIFE: He enjoyed playing the piano, musicals and showtunes, and had studied with many area musicians. He also enjoyed playing pool with his friends and had practiced karate. He was an avid Red Sox fan and a positive thinker. Obituary: Clement M. Lemire, 90, of Manchester, died 3, 2013 at his home after a period of declining health. He was born in Franklin on 10, 1922 to Nestor and Maria (Lavoie) Lemire. He lived in Franklin, Newington, CT and Manchester for many years. During World War II he served in the U.S. Marine Corps both as a Drill Sergeant and in the Pacific aboard the aircraft carrier Puget Sound. Mr. Lemire was the first Recreation Director for the city of Franklin, a position he held until 1956, then he became the first Parks and Recreation Director for the town of Newington, CT, serving for ten years until 1966. In the fall of 1966, he became the first Superintendent of the newly combined Manchester Parks and Recreation Department, serving the city for 29 years until his retirement in 1995. His work was his passion, always striving to provide the city with every recreational opportunity possible. He received several awards for excellence in his field and was most proud to have Newington be named one of the Lifetime Sports cities of America. He was a member of the National Recreation and Park Association, the New Hampshire Parks and Recreation Association, American Legion Sweeney Post, Knights of Columbus and League of 1000 Men of the Precious Blood. Clem was devoted to his family and was most happy at all of the family gatherings. He loved his grandchildren and taught most of them to skate and play hockey. He was married for 60 years to Lillian (Turcotte) Lemire who died in 2010. He was also predeceased by seven siblings, Germaine Carignan, Armand Lemire, Benoit Lemire, Paul Lemire, Henry Lemire, Juliette Lemire and Esther Lemire. The family includes four sons, Brent Lemire and his wife, Lisa, of Litchfield, Bruce Lemire and his wife, Edie, and Brian Lemire and his wife, Vicki, all of Goffstown and Bradley Lemire and his wife, Bettyann, of Enfield, CT; eight grandchildren, Matthew, Kevin, Ryan, Benjamin, Devin, Stephanie, Brendan and Christina; five great grandchildren, Elijah, Noah, Abby, Madison and Evan; two sisters, Therese Denoncour of Franklin and Jeannette Marcucci of Eastham, MA; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Obituary: Roger N. Lemieux, 75, of Manchester died 21, 2005 at Catholic Medical after a sudden illness. Born in Stowe, VT on 26, 1929, he was the son of Dorian and Blanche (Salvas) Lemieux. He lived most of his life in Manchester. During the Korean War he served in the US Army. Mr. Lemieux was a graduate of St. Anselm in 1957. He worked as a mail carrier with the US Postal Service for 22 years. He was married to Marcelle G. (Dupont) Lemieux who died in 1999. He enjoyed traveling, sports and was an avid tennis player. The family includes two sons, Claude R. Lemieux of Weare and Peter C. Lemieux of Provincetown, MA; a brother, Dorian Lemieux of Delmar, NY; a sister, Marilyn Moran of Rockledge, FL; his companion, Kathleen Bayko of Manchester and cousins, nieces and nephews. A mass of Christian burial was celebrated 24, 2005 in Parish of the Transfiguration, corner of Kelley and Youville streets, Manchester. Committal prayers followed in Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester. Burial was in Mt. Calvary . Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 360 Route 101, Bedford, NH 03110.

Obituary: Robert A. Shakey Lemieux, 70, of Manchester, died 11, 2012, surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born in Manchester, 12, 1942, to Joseph and Rita (Adams) Lemieux. He was a graduate of Manchester Central High School, class of 1960, and later served in the United States Army and the Army National Guard. For over 39 years Shakey worked as a Selector for Associated Grocers. For 34 years he was a member of Local 633 of the Teamsters. Following his retirement he served as Secretary/Treasurer for the retirees for eight years. He was a member of the American Legion Sweeney Post #2. Shakey was a solid NE sports fan. He enjoyed spending time with his grand children. He will be remembered as being generous to a fault, having a quick wit, and his kindness to all who came his way. He will be missed. Family members include his children, Marlene Jenkins, of Manchester, Randy Lemieux, of Deerfield, Christine Cote, of Bedford, David Wilson of Manchester, Charlene French, of Manchester; 9 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; his siblings, Edward Lizotte, of Merrimack, Richard Lizotte, of Goffstown, Leo Lizotte, of Londonderry, Pauline Lizotte, of MD; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his stepfather Roger Lizotte. A funeral liturgy took place on , 15, 2012 at the Lambert and Crematory, Manchester. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family in the NH State Veterans , Boscawen, NH. Memorial donations can be made to Camp Allen, 56 Camp Allen Road Bedford, NH 03110.
