Obituary: Susan C. (Pothier) Larochelle, 41, of New Boston, NH, died 29, 2003, at Elliot Hospital, after long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Manchester on 3, 1962, and was the daughter of Lawrence and Constance (Brisson) Pothier. Susan attended local schools and was an active member of St. Marie Parish. She had volunteered at the soup kitchen for many years and was a member of givers. She was a home designer for her family business Mitch Construction. Susan was a gentle spirit that had a deep trust in God. She was an active runner, participating in several marathons over the years. Often referred to by her family as super-mom, she was a super-wife, that loved camping trips and working in the garden, welcoming all who came to her home. Obituary: Romeo W. Larochelle, 74, of New Boston died 13, 2003 in his residence after a long battle with cancer. Born in Manchester on 30, 1928, he was the son of Wilfrid and Philomene (Roy) Larochelle. He lived in Manchester most of his life before moving to New Boston in 2001. He was a graduate of St. Marie High School in 1946, and of the New Hampshire Technical Institute. He later served in the U.S. Army in Europe from 1951 to 1953. Mr. Larochelle worked as a mechanical draftsman and designer for 40 years, mostly at Sanders Associates and at Hastech/Crosfield Electronics. his retirement he worked as a courier at First NH Bank and Citizens Bank. He was an active communicant at St. Anthony Church in Manchester for 40 years and had recently been a communicant of St. Lawrence Church in Goffstown. He was a member of the Pius X Secular Institute and the League of 1000 Men of the Precious Blood. He was a proud and beloved father who taught his family how to love unconditionally through his everyday example. He enjoyed hiking, camping, tinkering in his workshop, listening to opera, riding his motorcycle and being in the presence of all people while sharing in the spirit of Jesus. It is seldom that there would be a more gentle and spiritual man who would come to personify the selfless act of loving. The family includes his wife of 47 years, Annette (Daneault) Larochelle of New Boston; five children, Robert B. Larochelle of Mason, Rev. Maurice R. Moe Larochelle of Hampton, Andre A. Andy Larochelle of Tampa, FL, Therese J. Terry Benson of Bedford and Roch D. Larochelle of New Boston; ten grandchildren; two sisters, Claire Caron and Francoise Therrien both of Manchester; two brothers, Gerald Larochelle of Charlesbourg, Quebec, Canada and Marcel Larochelle of Manchester; nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated 16, 2003 in St. Lawrence Church, 63 Main St., Goffstown. Burial was in Mt. Calvary , 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester. Obituary: Roger William LaRochelle, 87, formerly of Manchester, NH and Beverly, MA died 13, 2011 at his residence in St. Petersburg, FL surrounded by his wife, children, daughter-in-law, sisters, brother, niece and nephew and extended family members. He was born in Manchester on 8, 1924, the son of Romeo and Eugene (Talbot) LaRochelle. He was educated in the Manchester school system. He served in the United States Navy during WWII from 1942 thru1945. He served as Machinist Mate 2nd Class on the USS Pensacola. During this time he served in many battles in the South Pacific ending with the battle of Iwo Jima. Prior to retirement, he had been employed as a turbine supervisor with General Electric in Lynn, MA for over 35 years. In the early retirement years Roger and his wife Lillian traveled the United States in their motor home and settled in St. Petersburg, FL twenty years ago. Family members include his wife of 65 years, Lillian (Lavoie) LaRochelle of St. Petersburg, FL; one son, Roger LaRochelle, Jr. and his wife Diane of Beverly, MA; daughter Linda Quince and her husband Philip of Hamilton, MA; granddaughters, Vanessa Uliano and husband Joseph of Peabody, MA; Shana Quince of Salem, MA; his step-granddaughter, Aimee Whitlock of Somerville, MA. He also is survived by his sisters Betty Bourque, Theresa Bourque, Jacqueline Lessard and Susan Audy and his brother Robert LaRochelle, . He was predeceased by his brother Renald LaRochelle and his grandson Joshua Quince. A memorial Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Raphael Church on , 1, 2011. Obituary: Renald L. LaRochelle, 88, of Manchester died 9, 2011, surrounded by his family, in St. Petersburg, FL after a period of declining health. He was born in Manchester on 19, 1922 to Romeo and Eugenie (Talbot) LaRochelle. He lived in Manchester for most of his life and in Clinton, NY for 16 years. During World War II he served in the U.S. Navy on board the USS Terry as a Chief Machinist Mate. Mr. LaRochelle worked for Leighton Machine of Manchester and Barclay Knitware of Waterville, NY for many years. He later operated his own consulting business. He was a former member of the Pius 10th Institute and was instrumental in introducing the Cursillo Movement in New Hampshire. He enjoyed flying airplanes and was a flight instructor. He also enjoyed photography and was an amateur radio and computer enthusiast. He was a member of the American Legion and a 4th degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus. His first love was time spent with his family. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy (Lavoie) LaRochelle in 2010, and by a daughter, Delores LaRochelle in 1948. IN HIS LIFE: The family includes six children, Paul LaRochelle and his wife, Eleni Blioumi, of Manchester, Patricia Gamache and her husband, Richard, of Goffstown, David LaRochelle and his wife, Melany, of Gettysburg, PA, Marc LaRochelle and his wife, Lisa, of Goffstown, Theresa Bullard and her companion, Daniel Blais, of Hooksett and John LaRochelle of Pownal, VT; 10 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; two brothers, Roger LaRochelle and his wife, Lillian, of St. Petersburg, FL and Robert LaRochelle and his wife, Carmelle, of Manchester; four sisters, Bertha Bourque and her husband, Jean Paul, of Manchester, Theresa Bourque, of Connecticut, Jacqueline Lessard of Chicoutimi, Quebec and Susan Audy of Connecticut and Florida; and many nieces and nephews. Obituary: Leo R. Larochelle, 66, of Manchester, died 12, 2006 at the Catholic Medical after a lengthy illness. He was born in Manchester on 29, 1939, the son of Joseph and Cecile (Soucy) Larochelle. He attended St. Anthony High School and received his associates degree from Hesser Business . He served in the US Coast Guard. He had been most recently employed as New Hampshires first appointed Chief Plumbing Inspector. Prior to that, he had worked as the Plumbing Inspector for the City of Manchester and had also owned and operated his own plumbing business. A very humble man, Mr. Larochelle was active within and contributed to his community in a variety of ways. He was an Eagle Scout and Scout Master for the Boy Scouts for numerous troops in the Manchester area. He was also active in the Catholic War Veterans, CYO, taught CCD, and served on various parish councils in the city. He volunteered for local baseball and softball leagues and was an accomplished accordion player and music teacher. He was a member of the Richelieu Club and a member of both the national and international chapters of B.O.C.A. He was past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus #5748, Marion Council, and was current financial secretary for the Knights of Columbus State Chapter. Mr. Larochelle also was a Fourth degree Knight of the Bishop Bradley Assembly #0626. Members of his family include his wife of 32 years, Celine (Chouinard) Larochelle of Manchester; two sons, Ronald and Joel Larochelle, both of Manchester; four daughters, Diane Larochelle of Manchester, Julie Antis of Johnstown, NY, Denise Lessard of Sanbornton, and Nicole Larochelle of Manchester; four grandchildren, Nathan, Evan, Noah, and Sarah; one brother, Julien Larochelle of Manchester; one sister, Sr. Lucille Larochelle of Tewksbury, MA; nephews, nieces, and cousins; he is also survived by his extended family, the Paquettes, who were a very important part of his life. Obituary: Julien D. Larochelle, 61, of Manchester died 20, 2008 at Catholic Medical after a brief illness. Born in Goffstown on 13, 1946, he was the son of Joseph and Cecile (Soucy) Larochelle. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester. Mr. Larochelle worked at Freudenberg NOK for over 30 years. He was a communicant of St. Anthony Church. He enjoyed traveling, camping at Old Orchard Beach, ME and was an avid Red Sox fan. He was also an assistant Scout Master for Boy Scout Troop 112. IN HIS LIFE: His family was the center of his life. He had always participated in the activities his children were involved with. He especially enjoyed time spent with his four grandchildren. He will be remembered as a generous, kind and loving person who was a friend to everyone he met. The family includes his wife of 35 years, Janet (Bourassa) Larochelle of Manchester; three sons, Dan Larochelle and his wife, Jennifer, Brian Larochelle and his wife, Shelly, and Matt Larochelle all of Manchester; four grandchildren, Katelyn Larochelle, Ethan Larochelle, John Larochelle and Kyle Larochelle; a sister, Sr. Lucille Larochelle of Tewsbury, MA; sisters and brothers in law; one cousin and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Hector Larochelle and Leo Larochelle. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated 25, 2008 at St. Anthony Church, 172 Belmont St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester. Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 249 Canal St., Manchester, NH 03101. |
