Obituary: Judith Ann Lowe was born 5, 1944 to Albert Joseph Lowe, Jr. and Zyeaddle Marguerite Morris Lowe in Kansas City, Missouri. Her parents and two brothers, Albert Joseph Lowe III and Richard Lowe of Kansas City, Missouri, preceded her in passing. Judy, as she was lovingly called, received her education in the Kansas City, Missouri Public School System. She was a graduate of Manuel High School, Class of 1962. While at Manuel, Judy studied and attained certification in Cosmetology, earned her license and maintained it throughout her life. Though she never entered into a formal beauty business setting, Judy used her skills often to serve others. Anyone who knew Judy well, knew that she worked hard in her career. She was employed at the Lake City Ammunition Plant and the Bendix Corporation in her early years. Later she worked at General Motors Corporation in Fairfax, Kansas, rendering 37 years of faithful service. Judy completed her GM career in 2009, but left rich with the many friends she made over the years. Judy ended her career as an employee of the Burlington Coat Factory in Olathe, Kansas, where she added to her friendships as she continued to use her skills to love and serve others. Judy knew it was important to make a difference. She was an active membership in the United Auto Workers Locals 93 and 31, the GM Womens Committee, the National Association of the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). In addition, she worked as an election judge for the Kansas City Election Board and volunteered with various community groups. Whether in an organized group or just as an individual, Judy never hestitated to use her talents to serve others. Remaining to cherish Judys life are her beloved siblings, her sisters Shirley J. Lowe and Marceline Williams, and her brother Robert C. Lowe, all of Kansas City, Missouri. Sharing the love and memories of Judy are her nephews Anthony Madden (Shantel), Robert Lowe (Rose), Jonathan Lowe, Albert Lowe, IV, and Eric Lowe; and her nieces Marquitta Lowe, Candice Addison (Duane), and Porscha Lowe. Joining in the love are aunts, an uncle, and many relatives and friends. A life of service and love was her wonderful legacy. Judy will be greatly remembered with much love and admiration. Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. , 7, at Beth-Judah Ministries C.O.G.I.C., 2515 Harrison, Kansas City, Missouri 64108.
