Obituary: Virginia Loudine Jones Landers, 88, formerly of Memphis, passed away peacefully on 24, 2010 surrounded by family. She was born 6, 1922 in Crump, TN and moved to Memphis after high school. She retired from the Memphis Defense Depot after many years of work. She loved to travel, square dance, was active in homemakers club and her church, Providence Baptist. Virginia was known for her friendly, cheerful, and loving personality. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Lynn (Fran) Leary of Nesbit, MS; her grandson, Christopher Riordan of Olive Branch, MS; and many loving friends and family. Obituary: services for Robert "Bob" Landers, 83, will be on , 15, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Memorial Chapel with Bro. Charlie Cooper and Bro. Mickey Trammel officiating. Burial will be in the Kemps Chapel cemetery near Rienzi. Mr. Landers died on , 10, 2010 at Magnolia Regional in Corinth. He was born in Limestone , AL on , 9, 1927 to the late Larkie and Ruby Reed Landers. During his life he served in the U.S. Navy and fought in World War II. returning home, he worked 27 years for Western Electric in Chicago, IL as a supervisor from where he retired. He spent only two weeks in retirement and went back to work for ITW and stayed there for 12 years. his "official" retirement, he loved spending time with his friends at the cardiac rehab and Jacks, where he was a member of the coffee drinkers club, often sitting at a table of nine that seated six. Many times he would have to stop there before heading to church. He also loved animals and flowers. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Yvonne Moody Landers and two brothers. He is survived by his wife, Jane Landers; three brothers-in-law, Foster, Thad, and Mack Moody; one sister-in-law, Gretchen Thorton; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Wesley Mark Jacobs, Joby Murphy, Brad Palmer, Chris Jacobs, Nathan Palmer, Timo Murphy, Brandon Palmer, and Matt Murphy will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be on , 14th from 5:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. and from 11:00 A.M. till service time on .
