Obituary: Jeanine E. Lafontaine age 73 of Sturgis, Michigan passed away early morning 13, 2014 at her home. She was born 22, 1941 in Danielson, Connecticut daughter of the late Alfred and Claudia (Provost) Lefevre. Jeanine resided in Sturgis since 1966 coming from Connecticut. On 15, 1961 she married Richard Lafontaine in Danielson Connecticut. She was a homemaker and an active member of the Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sturgis where she was a member of the Prayer Circle. Jeanine was a volunteer at Thurston Woods Village in Sturgis for many years and she enjoyed camping at Green Valley Campground in Sturgis. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years Richard; one daughter: Amy (Ryan) Sybesma of Glen Ellyn, Illinois; two sons: Mark (Annette) Lafontaine and David (Judy Baker) Lafontaine both of Colon; seven grandchildren: Justin Lafontaine, Amanda Lafontaine, Michael (Candy) Lafontaine, Dustin Baker, Sabrina Baker, Alleisha Baker and Grant Sybesma; five great grandchildren: Collin Lafontaine, Emily Lafontaine, Carma Lafontaine, Amber Moyer and Benjamin Schwemer; one brother: Lucian (Pamela) Lefevre of Enfield, Connecticut; sister-in-law: Joyce Franks of Sugar Island, Sault St. Marie, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Richard Lefevre and Donald Lefevre. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family s. 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, MI 49091, 269-651-2331 where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 P.M. . The Mass celebrating the life of Jeanine E. Lafontaine will be held at 11:00 A.M. at the Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sturgis. The Rev. Father German Perez-Diaz will officiate. In accordance with Jeanines wishes cremation will follow the Mass. The family suggests those wishing to make a memorial donation in Mrs. Lafontaines memory consider the Holy Angels Catholic Church, 402 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, MI 49091 or Hospice of Sturgis, P.O.
