Born in Leachville, to the late Lloyd and Audrey Hicks Lester, he had been a lifelong resident of the Leachville and Manila areas. Bill was a retired heavy equipment operator and supervisor for the former Meadows Construction in Jonesboro. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. Wherever the family gathering was, Bill brought the happy. He always had a smile, a story, and a witty response readily available. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Betty Carmichael Lester in 2014, and a son, Greg Lester. Survivors include; 2 daughters; Becky Lynn Stone (Lester) Lena Marie Fleeman (Randy) all of Manila 4 brothers; Johnny Lester of Leachville Danny Lester of Manila Glenn Lester of Manila Robert Lester of Hot Springs 3 grandchildren; Andrew Fleeman (Brooke) of Manila Letonya Morris (Andrew) of Daytona, Florida Greg Stone (Michella) of Jonesboro Bill also leaves 7 great-grandchildren service will be 10 a. m. , 3, 2017 at the Howard Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. Obituary: Charlotte Jawanda (Forbus) Lester of Rose Bud left this world to join her Heavenly Father on , 15, 2015 at 76 years of age. She was born 27, 1938 in Heber Springs to Herbert and Lucille Forbus. She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 53 years, Lee Gene Lester of the home; one son, Terry Lester of Rose Bud, and a daughter, Charla (Steve) Bradley of Rose Bud. Charlotte had 3 grandchildren who were the light of her life, Kristen Lester and Allison Lester of Searcy, and Blake Bradley of Rose Bud. She is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Lucille Forbus; and special aunts and uncles, Arlie and Annie Parish and Lonnie and Sybil Forbus. Anyone that knew her knew that the sun rose and set in her grandchildren. She never missed a ballgame, school program or special event they were involved in and she was always the first one to get her seat in the bleachers. She loved her Harding Academy Wildcats and Rose Bud Ramblers. She was truly their biggest fan. Charlotte showed her love for the Lord through her selfless and caring heart to all. She was a light for the Kingdom everyday she was here on this earth. She enjoyed her flowers and could often be seen walking around her yard watering and tending to them. She was probably best known for her famous lemon pie. It was the first to go at all of the family events. Everyone would always get a piece of her pie before they would get their food because they knew it would be gone if they waited. Her family wants to invite everyone who loved and knew her to join us in celebrating her life. Visitation will be held , 18, 2015 at Powell in Searcy from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. Her funeral service will be , 19, 2015 at St. Marys Church in Rose Bud at 3:00 pm. Pallbearers will be Rusty Garner, Toby Lester, Tracy Lester, Todd Prothro, Travis Prothro, Tony Prothro, Bobby Lester and Furlen Webb. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Smith and Marty Smith.
