Obituary: AUBURN: Raymond Lapierre, 81, of Auburn passed away afternoon at his home following a long illness with his family by his side. He was born in Lewiston on 23, 1932 a son of the late Edgar and Dorothy (Berube) Lapierre. He grew up in the Lewiston area and attended local schools. Raymond was a veteran in the United States Army and served during the Korean conflict. He also worked for several years as a hand sewer for Billing Shoe. He was a member of the American Legion Post 153 in New Auburn and will always be remembered for being a very hard worker, a great family provider, having a great sense of humor and always ready to tell a good joke. Ray enjoyed camping in his younger years and following the Red Sox. He is survived by his three children Michael and Gerald Lapierre of Lewiston and Theresa Lapierre of Georgia. He also leaves behind his six grandchildren; Courtney, Chad, Ashley, Shayla, Morgan and Dylan. He was predeceased by his wife Pauline, two sons Robert and Richard Lapierre, two brothers Tony and Roger and a sister Yolande. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church in Auburn on May 31 at 11am. Obituary: PITTSFIELD, Maine-Michael J. Lapierre Sr, 63, died peacefully on , 28, 2015, after a period of failing health, in Bangor, Maine Michael was born on 14, 1952, in Northbridge, Massachusetts, the son of the late Francis and Helen (Therrian) Lapierre. He was educated in Massachusetts schools and proudly served our country in the United States Air Force. He spent most of his life working as a mechanic. Michaels children were his life. He was a strong family man. He enjoyed spending time with them and their children. He also liked watching movies, helping others and being involved with politics. He was a diehard fan of the Red Sox and Patriots! He is survived by his children, Sarah Lapierre of Pittsfield, Maine and her son, Donavan, Joshua Lapierre and wife, Lisa, of Newport, Michael Lapierre Jr and wife, Satmoi, of Japan, Gina Lamica and husband, Matthew, Francis Lapierre, all of Southbridge, Massachusetts; grandchildren, Hayto, Shaou, Joseph, Domenic, and Rosemary; siblings, Cathy, William, Greg, David, John, Darlene, Francine and Laurie; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on , 15, 4-7 PM, at the Shorey-Nichols , 191 Hartland Avenue, Pittsfield, Maine with a potluck luncheon being served. A committal service will be held at 10 a.m., , 16, at the Maine Veterans , Civic Drive, a, Maine. Graveside funeral services in Northbridge, MA will be private. |

Obituary: Michael H. Lapierre, 55, of Auburn passed away unexpectedly at his home on May 7th. Born in Lewiston on 28, 1959 the son of Raymond and Pauline Roy Lapierre. Michael attended local schools before going to work at Cole Hahn Shoe Shop as a hand stitcher taking great pride in the work that he did. Mike was a man that was sometimes seen as rough on the outside but when you got to know him he was witty, funny, and soft as a marshmallow. He loved to hunt and snowmobile with family and friends. Mike was a member of the National Horseshoe Pitching Association and frequently competed successful in many tournaments. He loved being involved in his children and grandchildrens lives. Playing baseball at ASLL and softball with his brother was also something that he always enjoyed. Michael is survived by his companion of 29 years Marie Samson; a daughter Courtney Charest of Lewiston, and 2 stepchildren Amanda Rodriguez and John Samson of Auburn; a brother Gerald Lapierre of Lewiston and a sister Terry Lapierre of GA; 5 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Chad Lapierre, and two brothers Richard and Robert Lapierre.
