Obituary: Linton LeCompte, 74, passed away on 11, 2017 at his residence with his family by his side. He loved shooting the bull with his buddies and having coffee with them to reminisce. He enjoyed working at what is now Sasol for many years, where he was the Superintendent of the Paraffin Unit. Linton loved being able to help up and coming young people get employment, and even in his later years would still counsel with them for any questions they may have. He was responsible for starting the Process Technology Department at Sowela, and during this time period he did some consultation work overseas in Saudi Arabia and Malaysia. He then returned home where he would become the P Tech Department Head. He was also a proud Veteran in the Vietnam War where he served in the United States Army. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Mary LeCompte; daughters, Kimberly LeCompte of Charlotte, NC., Kellie Gaines and husband Chris of Franklin, TN.; brother, Adam LeCompte, Jr. and wife Audrey of Crosby, TX.; sister, Marcella Tezeno of Long Beach, CA.; along with three grandchildren, Kyle LeCompte of Lake Charles, Braylen Gaines, and Riley Gaines, both of Franklin, TN. Linton is preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Ora LeCompte; brothers, Delton LeCompte, Sr., Welton LeCompte; and sister, Gloria Johnson. Services will be at St. Henry Catholic Church on , 17, 2017 at 10:30am. Visitation will be on , 16, 2017 at Hixson of Lake Charles from 5:00-8:00pm with a Rosary at 6:00pm. Visitation will resume on , from 9:00am until the procession to the church. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart in Lake Charles.
