Obituary: Dorothy Mae Moreau LeBlanc, 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on , 16, 2015, in her residence.

She was a native of Mamou and had been a resident of the Sulphur/Carlyss area most of her adult life. Dorothy was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church where she was a member of the Ladies Altar Society, the Catholic Daughters, the Cursillo and St. Vincent DePaul charity organization. She enjoyed playing pokeno, gardening, crabbing, cooking (especially baking) and taking care of her family. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Jerome Jerry LeBlanc of Carlyss; her children, Debra LeBlanc Dickson and husband Dan of Sulphur, Paul LeBlanc and wife Angela of Sulphur, Jerome LeBlanc and wife Kathryn of Beaumont, Texas, Joe LeBlanc and wife Diana of Sulphur, Luke LeBlanc and wife Jeani of Carlyss, Melanie LeBlanc Morris and husband Michael of Carlyss, and Tony LeBlanc and wife Aimee of Carlyss; her siblings, Kenneth Moreau and Beatrice Fontenot of Mamou, and Theo Moreau of Pine Bluff, Ark.; sister-in-law, Gwen Moreau of Lake Charles; brother-in-law, Herman Leger of Ville Platte; 27 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Theo and Elvin Moreau; and siblings, Helena Moreau Leger and Robert Moreau.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. , 18, in St. Theresa Catholic Church. The Rev. Joe Aquino, MS will officiate. Pallbearers will be Paul LeBlanc, Jerome LeBlanc, Joe LeBlanc, Luke LeBlanc, Tony LeBlanc, Mike Morris and Scott Helton. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines South in Carlyss under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial . Visitation is from 4-9 p.m. with a Cursillo Rosary service at 7 p.m. and will resume on at 11 a.m.

She was a devoted member of St. Jude Catholic Church since 1976. Served in various church ministries. She also did volunteer work at OLOL Hospital and the St. Agnes Soup Kitchen for several years. She was one of the first graduates from Redemptorist High School. She attended a local business college. Retired from Rubicon Chemicals in Geismar, Louisiana after more than 28 years of service. Survived by brothers and sisters: Clifton J. LeBlanc, Francis Donald LeBlanc, Marjorie Mautner, Genevieve Garrett and husband Fritz, and Rosemary Tuminello and husband Roy. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren. Preceded in death by parents Arthur Leon LeBlanc, Sr. and Aline Mire LeBlanc, and by brothers Wilton A. LeBlanc, Arthur Leon LeBlanc, Jr. and wife Audrey, Russell A. LeBlanc and Earl A. LeBlanc. She loved travelling and travelled extensively in the U.S. and abroad. She enjoyed cooking and inviting friends and family over to share a meal. She appreciated most kinds of music and the theatre. She appreciated all her siblings, nieces, nephews and godchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favorite charity. One of her favorite charities was the Covenant House in New Orleans. This is a shelter for street kids who have no place to go when they are down on their luck..

Obituary: A native of Donaldsonville and resident of Baton Rouge passed away , 05, 2012, at the age of 90. She was the eighth child born to Louis L. and Maria O. LeBlanc. She graduated from Donaldsonville High School and later from Hotel Dieu School in 1943 following her older sister, Corinne. She started her career in a local doctors office, moved to be an industrial nurse, and ended her career as a nurse in the Ascension Parish School System. Her hobbies included playing bridge, sewing, and spending time with her friends and family. She spent 44 years with her husband, Lloyd LeBlanc, and spent the last nine years of his life nursing him. She was loved and cherished by her nieces and nephews and will truly be missed by them and all who knew her. Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church on , 7, 2012, from 9 AM until the funeral mass at 10:30 AM. Entombment will follow at Ascension Catholic in Donaldsonville. Donny loved to camp with his family and friends traveling all across the country. He liked fishing and sporting events especially LSU and ULL. Donny was a retired Industrial Arts and Drivers Ed teacher from Berwick High School. He was a Volunteer Fireman with Berwick Fire Dept with over 35 years of dedicated service. his retirement of active fire fighting he began teaching fire safety to Elementary school students. He was a past President of the Cajun French Music Association and the Berwick Volunteer Fire Dept. Donny was a baseball coach for Berwick Dixie youth and an usher at St. Stephens Catholic Church. Donny was also a veteran of the United States Navy. He received an undergraduate degree from ULL and a Master of Education from LSU.

Donny is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sandra Streva LeBlanc; sons, Glen LeBlanc and wife Georgia and Brian LeBlanc and wife Lynne; two granddaughters, Brianne and Nicole LeBlanc.

Donny was preceded in death by his father, Donald LeBlanc; mother, Vivian LeBlanc.

Visitation will be on , 20, 2017 at Hargrave from 6pm - 8pm and , 21, 2017 at St. Stephens Catholic Church from 9am - 11am. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11am on , 21, 2017 at St. Stephens Catholic Church. Graveside Services will be in the Morgan City .

Obituary: NEW IBERIA - Memorial services will be celebrated for Dewey A. LeBlanc, 83, at 2:00 pm , May 14, 2015 at Evangeline . Pastor Donald Pharr will officiate. Interment will be held at Sacred Heart Mausoleum in Broussard with Military Honors by the Iberia Veterans Honor Guard.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Evangeline of New Iberia on from 11:00 am until time of services.

Mr. LeBlanc was born 3, 1931 in Morse, LA to the late Ansley LeBlanc and Ida Abshire LeBlanc, and passed away , May 12, 2015 at his residence with his family at his side.

Dewey was retired from the United Stated Air Force with over 20 years of service. He was also retired with 15 years from Furlough/Laughlin. Outside of his work, Dewey enjoyed camping and fishing, and spending time with his family. He leaves behind many fond memories that will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Susie LeBlanc; his step-children, Dolores Swanson, Nickie Callahan (Norman), Armand Poirier (Karen), Sheryl Francis (Joseph), and Melissa Darden (Ronnie); 26 step-grandchildren; 23 step-great grandchildren; 2 step-great great grandchildren; his brother, Darrell LeBlanc (Annalisa); his sister, Hilda LeBlanc; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 1st marriage, Cynthia LeBlanc; his step-children, Cecil Poirier and Jennie Watson; and his brothers, Preston and Nelson LeBlanc.
