Obituary: Peter Joseph Lacarbo Jr. passed away on , 6, 2009 at his residence at the age of 83. A native and resident of Lutcher, LA. He was retired from Norco Gas and Colonial Sugars and US Navy veteran. He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Lambert Lacarbo; three daughters and spouses, Agnes and Carl Harvey, Susan and Larry Millet, Wanda and Brent Decoteau; six sons and spouses, Roy Deslatte, Peter Lacarbo, Tommy and Loretta Lacarbo, Alvin Lacarbo and fiance Yvonne, Barry Lacarbo, and Anthony Lacarbo; brothers, Michael, Richard, and Sammy Lacarbo; 24 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; also survived by special friends Clyde Hymel and Sue and Curtis Wright. Preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Mary Lacarbo; one son Ralph Lacarbo; four brothers, Johnny, Russell, , and Jimmy Lacarbo; four sisters, Laura Lacarbo, Jackie Lauret, Mary Avril, and Marguerite Howell; and two grandsons: Colin Paul and Calen Anthony Decoteau. Visitation will be held , 8, 2009 from 5pm until 9pm at Alexander of Lutcher and on , 9, 2009 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina from 8am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10am. Obituary: Angelo Lacara, Sr., age 79, passed away on 25, 2014, at Live Oak Village in Hammond, LA. A lifelong resident of Hammond, he was the son of Sam and Mary (Notariano) Lacara. His life revolved around family, church, community service, Shell Oil , Beefmasters cattle and Fall trips with his wife, Philomene, to the Smokey Mountains -- Maggie Valley. A graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University in 1959, Angelos 32 year professional career was with Shell Oil and Chemical in Norco, LA. When he retired in 1991, he was the Polypropylene Laboratory Technical Department and Quality Assurance Supervisor. Angelo treasured, up to the end, the friends and memories made at Shell. As much as Angelo enjoyed his professional work life, his true passion was his herd of cattle and the land on Trippi Road. He loved the smell of a freshly cut field of hay, the cranking noise of a well-oiled John Deere tractor and numerous horticultural adventures. Going to the Ponchatoula Feed Store on s and stopping by a farm stand to buy fresh fruits and vegetables were his personal pleasure. Angelo grew up on Trippi Road. It was his special place. A place of fond memories and a place his parents shared with grandchildren and the entire family. Marys home was where good food, warmth and love were never in short supply. Angelo loved his large extended family made up of Lacaras, Notarianos, Chehardys and Smiths. There was always a story and it was always told with humor and love. Whether it was rabbit hunting with his uncles, friendly banter with his cousins or getting solicited and unsolicited advice from his aunts, one always knew that it was family that brought him joy. Over the years, it was family gatherings - the 4th of Notariano Picnics, Lacara Christmas Eves with Me-Mes famous wine cookies and the memorable Chehardy holiday parties that were a testimony that family makes life special. Community and service were the hallmarks of Angelos life. He served on the board of directors for the Hammond Lions Club and was a member of Beefmasters Breeders Universal and the Louisiana Cattlemens Association. He was a lifelong member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church, a past member of the church parish council and involved in numerous community events. While Angelos involvements were numerous none spoke to his heart louder than his personal mission to help bring quality health care to Tangipahoa Parish. In 1977, he began his term on the Board of Commissioners at North Oaks System. It was his desire at the time to serve the community and to contribute toward the enhancement of medical care offered by North Oaks. He spent twenty five years on the board of North Oaks and retired as Chairman of the Board of Commissioners in 2002. He married the love of his life, Philomene Chehardy, in 1958. When she passed in 2007, he was heartbroken. Together they raised four children and later became the proud grandparents of six grandchildren. Angelo is survived his oldest son Angelo, Jr.(Andy), his wife Sue and their two children Alison and Marcus; son George, his wife Ashley and their daughter Taylor; daughter Ginger Lacara and her daughter Emily; daughter Diana Benner, her husband Robert and their daughters Haley and Emma. Angelo loved all his nieces, nephews and many cousins. His mothers youngest brother Uncle Steve Notariano is like a brother to him. Philomenes sister, George Ann Smith, has always been considered a sister to Angelo. He was predeceased by his brother Joseph Lacara, Sr. and sisters Mary Grace Lacara and Annie (Joseph) Mancuso. The family wishes to thank the staff at Live Oak Village for their love and care of Angelo over the past 18 months and the staff of North Oaks Medical for their dedicated care over the years. Visitation is at Harry McKneely and Son in Hammond on evening, 28, 2014 between 6:00 and 9:00 pm. There will be a Celebration of Life service between 7:30 and 8:15 pm. On , 29th, there will be a funeral mass at Holy Ghost Catholic Church. A short visitation will be held from 8:00- 9:00 am with Mass at 9:00. Obituary: Norman Joseph Labrecque, Sr., 82, of Heritage Manor in Hammond, died 25, 2015, following an illness. Norman was born in Hartford, Connecticut on 20, 1932, to the late, Amie Xavier and the late, Virginia (nee Bernier) Labrecque. He served as Petty Officer First Class on the U.S.S. Albany in the Unites States Navy during the Korean War. Norman married Edna G. (nee Samsel) Labrecque on 7, 1954. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Connecticut in 1960. Survivors include his three sons, Bruce Labrecque of Hammond, Keith Labrecque of Louisville, KY, Norman Labrecque, Jr. (Buzz) of Trumbull, CT; and daughter, Sandra Labrecque of Ashford, CT; as well as grandchildren, Baily and Tyler Labrecque, and Chelsea Orgeron Kessenich all of Hammond, Nicole and Michael Labrecque of Trumbull, and Sophia and Xavier Labrecque of Louisville; and great-grandchildren, Nolan, Jonas, and Phoebe of Hammond; and sister, Terri Biron Norman is predeceased by his wife; parents; and sister, Yvette Nadeau. Friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son in Hammond, , 29, 2015, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. |

Loving mother of Vincent Charles LaBrano, Jr. (Denise) and Andrew Louis LaBrano (Christina). A proud grandmother of Trenton Alphonse LaBrano, Quentin Charles LaBrano, Aidan Louis LaBrano, and Colby Louis LaBrano. Daughter of the late Pauline Lafrance Lamonte and Nace Lamonte. Sister of Josephine Cooper (Pat), Octavia Dibuono (the late Nick), Nace Lamonte and preceded in death by her sisters Alice Smith, Carmella Petitfils, Diane Lamonte and Cecelia Hoffman. Age 65, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and a lifelong resident of Marrero, Louisiana. Rosemarie work as a CSM at Wal Mart Store 911 on Lapalco for 15 years. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass on , 7, 2016 at 11:00 am.
