Obituary: Charlotte M. Low, 86, of Onawa, Iowa died , 23, 2017 at her home. A funeral mass will be 1:30 P.M. , 27, 2017 at St. Johns Catholic Church in Onawa, Iowa with Father Michael Erpelding, Celebrant, officiating. Burial will follow in the Onawa . Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. , 26, 2017 at the church with a scriptural prayer service at 7:00 P.M. are under the direction of Rush Family Service in Onawa. Charlotte Marie was born 16, 1930 in Sloan, Iowa, the daughter of John and Elsie (Peterson) Lindberg. She attended Sloan Consolidated School, graduating as salutatorian in 1948. On 27, 1949, Charlotte married the love of her life, Raymond Low, at St. Johns Rectory in Onawa, Iowa. To this union five children were born. celebrated 64 years of marriage before Raymonds passing in 2013. More than anything, Charlotte cherished her marriage to Raymond and took great pride in her children, fifteen grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. all loved when she would share stories about growing up on a small farm in the 1930s. She enjoyed playing piano throughout her life, and was active in the St. Johns Rosary Society and several bridge clubs. Later in life, she found great joy in finding and collecting antiques, meeting many great friends along her journey. Left to celebrate her memory are her five children and their families: son Dr. Michael Low (wife Christy and their three sons: Mark [Marci], Matthew [Laura, daughters Natalie and Juliet], and Chris), daughter Susan Jeanneret (husband Dan and their two sons: Eric [Lindsay, daughters Kailynn and Mila Marie] and Brett), son Dr. Gary Low (wife Karlee and their three children: Charlotte [Pete, children Tate and Colette], Kyle, and Markee), son Scott Low (wife Peggy and their four children: Abby [Josh, children Cadence, Caitlee, and Creighton], Bobby, Tom [JoAnna, daughters Torah and Ivory], and Emily), and daughter Mary Caffrey (husband John and three daughters: Charlotte, Kathleen, and Bridget). Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, John and Elsie Lindberg; her husband, Raymond Low; and three brothers, Lloyd, Paul, and Robert Lindberg. Memorials may be directed in Charlottes memory to the Burgess Hospice program in Onawa, Iowa. Condolences may be left online for the family at www.rushfamilycareservice.com |
