Obituary: Tyron C. Lowden, 60, of Aurora, passed away peacefully on , 27, 2014 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born 9, 1954 in Aurora the son of Ernest and Eileen Lowden. Tyron worked for Strathmore Printing Co. for many years. Survivors include his two sisters, Cheryl (Tim) Callaghan and Jayme (Frank) Asselborn as well as several nieces and nephews. A private celebration of life service will take place at a later date. Tyrons family would like to express their gratitude to Seasons Hospice for their caring support. |

Obituary: Julie Ann Low, 65, of Springfield, passed away at 12:32 a.m. on , 28, 2015 at Memorial Medical . Julie was born 12, 1949 in Newport News, VA, the daughter of Ralph and Mildred (Largent) Schwab. She married Thomas W. Low on 30, 1978 in Champaign-Urbana. Julie was a graduate of Stephen Decatur High School. She earned a bachelors degree from the U of I in French and a masters degree from UIS in English. She was employed at UIS for 10 years as a Technical Writer and taught English online. She was previously employed with Horace Mann. Julie enjoyed writing, interior design, decorating, and traveling with her husband, especially to Sedona, AZ, California and Europe. Julie traveled and lived for a time in Iran and Saudi Arabia. She was a member of a local writers group in Springfield and was given creative writing awards from the Writers Association of Springfield. Julie was known for being a wonderful and generous person. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ralph Schwab. She is survived by her husband, Thomas W. Low of Springfield; two daughters, Kathy (husband, John) Deters of Easton, IL and Brittany Low of Sahaurita, AZ; four grandchildren, Taylor Bodine, Jauni and Tegan Deters, and Melody Niblett; two siblings, Dana Emert of San Diego, CA and Arlene (husband, Joseph) Tokarz of Los Angeles, CA; and several nieces and nephews. Cremation was accorded by Lincoln Land Cremation Society. Celebration of Life: The family will host a Celebration of Life on , 14, 2015 from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Country Place Club House, 230 Country Place, Springfield. |
