Obituary: Evelyn M. Krokker was born May 8, 1949 in Cleveland, Ohio. Her passing was 2, 2010 in Ocala, FL. Evelyn was 61 years old. She is survived by her husband, Robert M. Krokker; her mother, Lillian Kelso, Hernando; sisters Linda Wright, Pennsylvania, Wanda Slater, Hernando, and Sandy Hahn from Texas. On her husbands side, Judy Wing, Michigan, John Cleghorn, Tampa, Cheryl Bishop of Dunnellon. Evelyn had two daughters, Heidi, who died at the age of 8 months, and then her daughter, locally, of Beverly Hills, Kelly Darling, husband Neil, with one daughter, Heather. Evelyn had two stepdaughters, Kimberly Kay Nigro, husband Matt, with two children, Samuel and Madison. Carrie Livingston, who also has two children, Buck and Alex. Evelyn was a member of the Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church. She sang in two choirs, a summer choir and a winter choir. She loved music deeply. She was a charter member of the Blind Americans Inc. and helped found it with her husband, Bob in 1990. At time of passing, she was the Vice President of the Blind Americans, Inc., with her husband Bob as President. Evelyn was an ambassador to the Dialysis Foundation here in the stat of Florida. She was also a charter member of the Hernando Lions Club. She was also a member of the National Federation of the Blind. Following are some of the activities that she was involved with in the Blind Americans. She was a computer instructor, a Braille instructor. She taught Economics, Living Skills, and alternative techniques. She also taught the Wood Crafts Program for a number of years. She also loved doing arts and crafts. Evelyn was an avid volunteer, and worked in many, many areas throughout the years. In 20 years, Evelyn had 2400 service hours at the Blind Americans. One of the many awards that she received was the Congressional Certificate of Appreciation from the President and Congress of the United States of America. Along with that came the title to a star in the Gemini Constellation named after Evelyn and Bob. Evelyn had many sports activities that she liked to do. One of the biggest ones was canoeing. She did that with a great friend, Matt Shoen, and now she will be with Matt. Also she loved to fish. She was quite the fisherman, and she loved to dance and ride motorcycles. But her biggest thing was singing in the choir. On the personal side, Evelyn loved just about everything on earth that there was, and this is the way that she tried to prioritize her appreciation of life. Number 1 was God and her Christianity. Number 2 was her husband. Number 3 was her children. Number 4 was her family, but it never stopped growing from that point on. Evelyn loved everyone and she showed that love with that famous smile of hers. She also had an incredible memory, never forgot a voice, phone numbers, names, and could often repeat word for word things of the past. On 6, 2010 at 2:00 pm on at the Hope Evangelican Lutheran Church, Evelyn will have her memorial services. She hopes that her friends will come to see joy and love, not sorrow. Evelyn will be placed in the mausoleum at Beverly Hills . No date has been set for that as yet, and it will be a private matter. Evelyn asked that any donations of flowers turn instead to monies that would be donated to the Blind Americans or volunteer hours in her memory. Obituary: Mary Margaret "Marg" Krohn, 80, of Bonita Springs, Florida, passed away on 21, 2017. She was born in LaSalle, Illinois. Marg attended Momence High School in Illinois. She met the love of her life, Richard "Dick" Krohn at a high school football game and it was love at first sight. were married on 7, 1956 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Momence, Illinois. Her passion for working with children led her to a long career as an administrative assistant within the Crete Monee School District. Marg and her Husband, Dick retired to Bonita Springs, Florida in 1996 where they became active members of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church. Her life remained action packed in Florida and she participated in various local philanthropic organizations and endeavors throughout the community. She was President of the St. Leo's Ladies Guild, led the St. Leo's Baby Shower Project for new mothers, and most importantly became affectionately known as the "Mother of the Knights of Columbus" for her work and passion for the organization and it's philanthropic pursuits. Marg is survived by her four children, Anthony, Matthew (Debbie), David (Nancy), Therese (Tony) LeFever; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Krohn (12/21/2009); three brothers, Eugene, Donald, and Richard. A Visitation will be held at Hodges at Naples Memorial Gardens (525 111th Ave N., Naples, FL 34108) on , 23rd, 2017 from 5:30pm-8:30pm with a Mass to follow on , 24th 2017 at 10:00am at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church (28290 Beaumont Rd, Bonita Springs, FL 34134). Obituary: On 25th the world lost an amazing woman, Leona Krohn. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Irene and Jimmy Jaffa; her grandchildren, Andrew, Daniel, and Laura (Vinger) and ten great-grandchildren. She was a holocaust survivor who had fled for her life traveling from her parents home in Lodz, Poland. She escaped with her husband Mark over 2000 miles first to Siberia surviving Russian work camps for the duration of the Holocaust. Their daughter, Irene was born in a German DP camp and they immigrated to America having lost almost their entire family. Leona was always full of life, using her incredible couture sewing skills and remarkable sense of humor, always with an appropriate joke, to bring smiles to everyone she met. Two old ladies were sitting on a bench. One said to the other, "remind me again who died yesterday, you or your sister. May her name always be for a blessing.
