Obituary: Dolores "Dee" Rose Koza 86 years of Jupiter,Florida passed away on 28,2014 surrounded by her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her sister Dorothy Genovese,grandson Patrick Stange,and daughter in-law Patty Stange. She is survived by nine children Fred,Peter,Catherine,Louise,Louis,Tom,Theresa,Trisha, Lisa,19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Dee was born 30,1928 in Brooklyn New York to Louis and Louise Cefariello. She was one of 4 beautiful daughters. Having 3 sisters meant she had 3 life long friends who she loved and admired. Enjoy gatherings with her sisters and their families for parties and special occasions paying close attention to every detail. She had a natural talent for crafts and used that talent to create memorable events for her family. She was a natural artist who passed the time by sketching drawing and painting. It was unusual to see her without pad and pencil in hand as she flawlessly designed beautiful works of art. She married Pete Koza and would reside in Long Island New York and was widowed in 1967. several years past she set out to establish her new residence in sunny Florida along with her younger children. She established residency in Palm Beach Gardens in 1974. She worked very hard for many years as a clerk at the convenient store and an upholsterer and a furniture company all the while volunteering for the American Red Cross. It was there that she realize that her career path would have to be one which helped others. She decided to enroll in Indian River community college and all working a full-time job, continued to raise four of her nine kids she earned her title certified nurses assistant. Upon graduation she interviewed and became a part of the Jupiter pavilion staff. She worked the 11 PM to 7 AM shift and enjoy caring for those in need. Taking special care of every detail to ensure comfort for each patient. She always did her best and when times were tough she pushed beyond her best always learning and growing. She enjoyed her relationships with coworkers and patients her hard work paid off and soon she was approved to buy a house. It was an accomplishment beyond her dreams. She relished in having provided a home for her and her children of her own. It was not big or fancy but it was hers and she did it. Her natural artistic talent was passed down to her children and grandchildren. She always had fun crafts and art supplies available and loved to be part of every project. She had a love for dolls as a child that never diminished. In fact, the love for dolls began her never ending collection. She would not hold me so close for her kids, make beautiful dresses, give alterations for anyone who needed them even out of moments notice but would also make clothes for her dolls too. She would donate many dolls and creations to charities and feel pride in knowing her creations would be profitable to the heart in helping others. Her love for dolls led her to joining the night owl doll club and the miniature club and she was thrilled to meet other ladies who share that same passion. The ladies would gather to discuss and create new dolls and crafts she also became a member of the Joy club and had wonderful fellowship of women who would meet socialize and worship at the Trinity Church. The friends she made and these clubs were very close to her heart and she was proud to call them her friends. She had a zest for life and grew to have an appreciation for the life she lived and the blessings of her family. She would quietly enjoy special occasions with a soft smile watching everyone in the moment. She was overjoyed in the excitement of her grandchildren. She was a beautiful woman who's strength was beyond our imagination, her ability to overcome life's challenges and come out smelling like a rose was inevitable. For when It came down to it she showed her strength and decided her own path. She was loved and honored cherished and cared for by her kids and it was all with pleasure. Visitation will be held , 1, from 2 to 4 pm, with a Mass following at 4 pm, at Aycock-Riverside and Cremation . |
