Obituary: Gjergji Kotti, son of Ivoni and Anesti Kotti, was born in the country of Albania in Europe. Gjergji attended school in the city of Korce, Albania and at the age of 19 he ventured to the country of Greece to make a better life for himself. He was actually baptized in the small city of Kozan, Greece. For approximately seven years Gjergji lived partly in Albania and in Greece. He was such a scholar, and within three months Gjergji was able to read, write, and speak Greek fluenty. He claims that he spent some of the best years of his life in Greece. Upon one of his return trips home to Albania, Gjergji met and fell in love with the love of his life, Daniela Zeneli. Their only child was born on the day of the Greek Orthodox Easter, Christos Anestis, and so the family named him Anesti, which was also the name of Gjergjis father. When Anesti was three years old, Gjergji won a lottery to bring his family to the United States of America. He and Daniela worked very hard to maintain their family, while at the same time maintaining contact with family in Albania via skype, visits to family members in Chicago, Canada, and Albanian friends in various parts of North America. Gjergji was an avid sports fan, particularly of soccer and basketball. He also loved all types of music, but Greek music was his favorite. About four years ago, Gjergji was diagnosed with cancer. He and Daniela put up a valiant fight to defeat this illness, but God had other plans, and called Gjergji home on the morning of , 29, 2016.
