Obituary: Clyde Elmer Koah, 81, went to his new home in heaven on 1st, 2015, at Suncoast Hospice Mid-Pinellas in Pinellas Park Florida after a short illness. Clyde, a longtime resident of New Port Richey, Florida, and formerly of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania was born in New Brighton Pennsylvania in 1933. The youngest of four children, of the late Omar Clyde Koah and Ella (Waddington) Koah, he was active in sports and other activities during his school years. Clyde was married to his devoted wife Kathryn A (Brickner) Koah for 55 years. enjoyed traveling, volunteering, and raising many beautiful Shelties during their years together while serving the Lord. He was known for his great sense of humor and his willingness to help anyone and everyone. He also loved Penn State Football, the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Pirates, and after moving to Florida, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He served in the United States Army in active duty from 1953 until 1955, rising to the rank of Sergeant in May 1955. He then served in the reserves until 1961, where he was promoted to Sergeant First Class in 1960. He was called into active duty during the Berlin Crisis in 1961 and served actively for one more year until of 1962. During his time he was decorated as an expert in the carbine. During his years he worked for Townsends in New Brighton PA and St Joe Zinc in Monaca PA. In 1983 he was called by His Lord into His service, where he served as pastor or associate pastor in multiple places in Pennsylvania and Florida over the next 30 years. Clyde leaves behind his wife, Kathryn; three sons, Timothy and wife Lynn, Thomas and his wife Carla, and Kevin and his wife Debbie, six grandchildren, Joseph Birch, Daniel Koah, Nicole Koah, Joshua Koah, Brian Koah, and Jessica Koah McConahy; three great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; three sisters, Betty Nesbitt, Dorothy Tronzo, and Mary Lou Schwartz and husband James, and brother-in-law Richard Brickner and wife Jo Ann; many nieces and nephews and many, many, dear and treasured friends. Clyde was predeceased by two brother-in-laws, Roy J. Pete Nesbitt and Joseph Joe Tronzo. He also leaves behind his two beautiful, beloved Shelties, Precious and Duchess. The family would like to express deep appreciation to the staff at Suncoast Hospice and Largo Medical for their loving and extraordinary care. So he closed his eyes and when he awoke, These are the words the Master spoke ... "Welcome, dear child, you are at last, And now the burden of living is past." "There's work for you in My Kingdom, dear And you are needed and wanted here." So weep not, he has just gone on ahead, Don't think of him as being dead. He's out of sight for a little while, And you'll miss his touch and his little smile, But you know he is safe in the home above Where there is nothing but Peace and Love.
