Obituary: Beatrice "Aunt Bea" Klostermeier (Raker), 92, of St. Petersburg, Fl. passed away peacefully, in her sleep, at the home of her special caregiver, Sandra Stone, on 21, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Hazel Raker, of Delta-Swanton, Ohio; her husband, Gerald Klostermeier, her brothers, Clyde, Floyd, Willard, Clifton "Skip" and sisters, Katherine and Velma. She is survived by her youngest brother, Ernest Raker and nieces and nephews. Bea was born 2/6/23 in Delta, Ohio.The family lived in the Old Family Farm house at Raker's Corner.The Raker church and Raker cemetery are still standing. She spent her early years in the one room Raker schoolhouse and graduated from Delta High School. One of the first employment experiences was with Willys-Overland Jeep Corp. of Toledo, Ohio. Aunt Bea was an entertainer who performed as a country western singer and yodeler on stage and local radio stations. She lead a trio that included her husband, Jerry. Bea was still "yodeling" and enjoying country music right up to the end of her very full life. One of her other loves was bowling. Upon moving to Florida she and her husband, Jerry, visited Sunshine Bowl inquiring about bowling and employment opportunities. That was the beginning of a love affair with Bea Klostermeier and Sunshine Bowl that lasted over 1/2 century. Both Bea and Jerry were hired that day. Bea started as a front desk person and spent the next 50 years mainly in management positions. No one cared more about her customers at what Bea called "THE FRIENDLIEST BOWLING CENTER IN TOWN." That slogan was partly due because of the leadership of Bea and the training she administered to every new employee with the direction from ownership. Bea dearly enjoyed her affiliation with the owners of Sunshine Bowl and their many family members. All the children and grandchildren were part of her extended family and the love for "AUNT BEA" was mutual. Bea and Sandra looked forward to their monthly luncheon meeting at Seminole Lanes with Joan, Jerry, Kevin Krauss and all the old bowling friends who remembered her. In Bea's later years she enjoyed watching the Ray's games and loved Evan Longoria. She completed dozens of crossword books, to keep her mind active. Bea will be missed greatly by her family along with her extended bowling family and friends. A special THANK YOU should be extended to SANDRA STONE, a loving friend and care giver. Bea taught Sandra how to bowl about 40 years ago. She then worked with Bea for some time. Ironically, Sandra then became Bea's caregiver for the last decade of her life. She and Roscoe, her beloved canine friend, were constant loving companions to the end. Obituary: Herbert Klosterman, age 87, of St. Petersburg, FL, and formerly of Geneva, passed away , 27, 2014. Born 19, 1926 in Cleveland, he was the son of Anna (Schimmelman) & Raymond Klosterman. He married Charlotte Puzik on 28, 1951 in Willoughby, OH. Herbert was the owner of Herbs TV and Appliance in Mentor from 1958-1980 and was a television technican for 50 years. He attended St. Joseph Military Academy in Hays, KS and served in the US Army and Air Force during World War II. Herb was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Madison. He is survived by his children, Don (Ursula) Klosterman of St. Petersburg, FL, Rick (Carmen Ana) Klosterman of Webster, NY, Grace Wendy (Greg) Bartlett of Northfield, OH, Christine Klosterman of Findlay, OH, Kathleen Rosenfeld of Frederick, MD, Michael (Renata) Klosterman of Yorktown, VA; 13 grandchildren & 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Dick Klosterman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Klosterman in 2011 and his parents. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:00 Noon on , May 3, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Church, 2846 Hubbard Road, Madison, Ohio with visitation at the church one hour prior to the service.
