She is survived by her sons Michael and Dimitri Khoury, daughters Kalliope Khoury and Sophia Howell, her grandchildren Delannie, Eli, Katarina, James and William. There will be a funeral service held a 1pm on , 14, 2014 at St Katherine Greek Orthodox Church, 5965 N Wickham Rd, Melbourne, FL 32940. Interment will follow at Florida Memorial Gardens. Obituary: Beginning of the end. Born 19th 1966 in Ghana, Africa the key player in my little but great family was born. In my fathers youth he attended boarding school in england and participated in many masculine activities such as competitive swimming, cricket, and rugby against his peers and best friend Sanjay. Fast forward a bit into time, My father in his twenties went back home to Ghana and at age twenty-six met the next role player and woman of his dreams, A nineteen year old Nada Abi-Karam and soon that became his spouse. Albert worked and was the apprentice to his father in the lumber district and after many years of business and stress his father started to get very ill and passed away. The devastation was unbelievable but my dad managed to push through and make the best of it. Lincoln, Nebraska and the new home of my father and mother held many great memories, The new home in which they lived was also the birthplace of their three Children, Michelline Khoury, Alain Joseph Khoury and Nadalline Khoury. My parents lived in rough times and good times, not all the time we had money but we still made great memories, and we always had each other. Years later my dad moved to his third and final home Pembroke Pines, Florida. Now my dad was a busy guy all the way up until his death. Through the years my dad only had 1 day off a week and that day was , without fail he always woke me up by pulling my sheets off of me and sang obnoxiously loud it always worked without fail. While i was always last to wake up our tradition was born every we had a home cooked breakfast made by my lovely mother and we always went somewhere extraordinary after, from traveling to the keys, to disney to Busch Gardens, and all the lovely attractions Florida has to offer. One year around the beginning weeks of december my dad decided that we should go on a trip to watch the ball drop in Times Square, New york. So we did it we took that trip we drove 24 hours to New York and arrived a couple of days before New Years, being the first time in New York the cold was ridiculous and we realized this when we stepped out of the car. New York was great bonding experience we took the subway and walked since those were the most ideal ways to travel in New York, from Chinatown to Brooklyn, to the Bronx. New years eve in times square was packed beyond belief and was impossible to get in but my dad came up with a master plan. We stayed in the Marriott hotel in Brooklyn but they had another Marriott in Times Square, with this we deviously made our way through security and crowds of people by telling them we stayed in that hotel and made our way to the heart of Times Square where all the celebrations were happening. That experience was one of the best our family has ever had and now you know that a family that plots together makes it to Times Square together. years and years pass and slowly he himself knew that the ending was coming after many years he started to slowly fade, he began to get unexpectedly ill, he was stressed and weight loss was extremely noticeable but no one bothered, months and months later he started to have back pains and more weight loss soon after we took him to the hospital, days later he was Diagnosed with Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer on 21st 2014. Now this is when the story gets bumpy. We griefed and cried and mourned knowing the severity of his illness but we did not give up hope, we still tried and tried, from Chemotherapy, too natural cures and anything you can think of but it still managed to overpower him. lets pause for a second, My last memorable thing and happiest moment during this time is when me and my dad decided to go for a walk to the park, although it was difficult to walk he still fought and walked with me to the park. On that walk he told me stories on how he met my mother and his life before her and we bonded, when we arrived to the park we we e greeted by some ducks which chased my dad and my dad tried to run and almost fell, i laughed because it reminded me of when he was healthy and i was happy that i could go on one last walk with him. Continuing on month by month passed and my dads health deteriorated and deteriorated until one day my dad couldn hold on anymore, He took one deep breath and that was the end. My father was a great man, He raised three beautiful children and had a amazing wife and the love that my mother and father had was untouchable out of sheer emotions she had for him she also decided to make her resting place adjacent to his. He did the best he could as a father and now i know hes in a better place, physically he may be missing but deep down in our hearts he is still here, he had not left us he is only waiting for us and he knows that we love him very deeply and i know he loves us too.
