Obituary: Gail Healy Kemp received her wings on , May 11, 2017 after a valiant battle against pulmonary fibrosis. Having fought the battle with every ounce of passion and energy, Gail was the fortunate recipient of 2 lung transplants due to the unselfish acts of anonymous families that she never knew. For these most unselfish gifts, she and her family are, and will forever be, eternally grateful for the 11 extra years they got to spend together. Growing up in Smithtown, New York, Gail moved to Florida in 1988 where she met her husband shortly after arrival Working in both New York and Florida for various travel agencies and an airline, Gail made the career shift to the job she had dreamed of her entire life, becoming a mother. This happened upon the birth of her first son in 1993 and a second son in 1997. Being a mother to her two boys was the greatest and most rewarding profession she could ever imagine and she embraced the “gift” of motherhood like no other. Whether assisting with homework, giving hugs and kisses out like candy, or being politically correct when the Baltimore Ravens played the New England Patriots (her son’s two favorite teams), Gail loved the career of “mom.” Although taken way too soon, she is still taking on the role of “mom’” just from a higher vantage point. Gail is survived by her parents, Gaylord and Dolores Healy, her brother and sister-in-law, Glenn and Donna Healy, her nieces, Katie and Megan Healy, her in-laws, Tim and Karen Kemp, another sister-in-law, Kamy Kemp, her husband, Keith Kemp, her dog Tucker that provided hours of companionship, and most importantly, her two loving sons, Austin Kemp and Brady Kemp. A visitation will be held on , May 16, 2017 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel in Sanford, FL. A Mass will take place at Annunciation Catholic Church is Altamonte Springs, FL on Wedensday, May 16, 2017 at 10:00am with a graveside service to follow at Oaklawn Park in Sanford. In lieu of flowers, Gail has requested donations are made to either the Mayo Clinic Lung Transplant division or to any organ transplant organization one feels connected too, such as Donate Life. As well, Gail also requests, anyone who is able to, please sign up to be an organ and tissue donor in her honor. |

Obituary: .________________________________________ Emily Lively Carraway Kemp, 74, beloved mother, grandmother, friend, sister, and aunt peacefully passed away on 15th with her family by her side. Born 11, 1936 in her grandparents Tallahassee home, Emily courageously fought cancer and its side affects for the last 10 years. Emily is survived by her daughters Jeri Hunter (husband Todd and children Todd, Jr. and Caroline) and Lisa Blickenderfer (husband Mark and children Ben, Will, Robert, and Tricia); long time partner and dear family friend, J. Ben Watkins; brother Bill Carraway (wife Gayle); and her favorite nieces and nephews and their children. Emilys family will be eternally grateful for the love that the caring staff at Westminster Oaks selflessly gave of themselves. Emily was preceded in death by her parents F. Wilson Carraway, Sr. and Caroline Polly Lively Carraway, and her aunt and namesake, Emily G. Lively. A graduate of Leon High School, Emily attended Duke University and Florida State University. Emily owned and operated 3 weekly newspapers in Wakulla, Franklin, and Calhoun Counties and retired from the City of Tallahassee Planning Department. An accomplished pianist, Emily especially enjoyed time at the coast with family and friends. Auntie Ems gracious smile, warm heart, lively sense of humor, deep faith, and love of life will live on through all the lives she touched. A celebration of her life will be held at St. Johns Episcopal Church on , 24th at 10 am with a reception immediately following in the Lively Café. In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Emily may be given to the TMH Cancer in Tallahassee or the Taunton Family Childrens in Wewahitchka.
