Obituary: Rose (Rosie) Virginia Karangelen went home to be her heavenly Father on 20th, 2016 with her daughters and their husbands at her bedside. Rosie was born 21, 1927 and spent most of her life in Annapolis Maryland. Rosie moved to Ocala Florida where resided for the last four years. Both of her daughters reside in Ocala and it was her joy to be near them all the time. Rosie was preceded in death by her parents Thomas Edward and Elizabeth Suitt, her husband John Peter Karangelen, her identical twin sister Mary Elizabeth Steward whom she was deeply attached to. resided two houses apart their entire adult lives and shared daily the things of life. Rose is survived by her two daughters, Pamela Ann Johnson and son in law James Johnson as well as Jennifer L. Wissman and her husband John D. Wissman. She has three grandchildren, Amiee L. Quiles, Tiffany Dawson and Christopher Dawson. She was loved and blessed by her five great grandchildren whom she absolutely adored. Rose is also survived by her youngest sister Sharon A. Fisher of Maryland. Rosie graduated from Annapolis High School and began her work as a telephone operator for the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone . Everyone knew the greatest joy in her life was in being a devoted wife, loving mother as well as a grand and great grandmother, to her daughters and their children. Her little dog Elvis was one of her children as well. Rosie loved to do many things and she was very talented in her God given giftedness. She was a great mother whose hands created and cared for many things. She loved to sew, especially her childrens clothes, as well as specialty doll clothes. She won awards for her designer doll houses and doll clothes. She won blue ribbons at the Catonsville Maryland State fair and had numerous orders from across the country for her crafts. Rosie also loved working in the yard where her green thumb could make anything grow. The family would often bring her their plants which were in desperate need of saving and she did save them, looking better than the day they were purchased. She loved Country and Gospel music, often traveling to Nashville, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge as well as Branson Missouri with her husband, family and friends (there was always room for one more in Rosies world!) Oh how she loved her cowgirl boots! Rosie dearly loved her family, her friends and their friends. In fact everybody was a friend to Rosie. Spending time talking and listening to others was truly a joy to her. Nobody was a stranger and yet everybody was somebody special to Rosie. Her front door was always open to everyone and everyone enjoyed being with Rosie. Love and laughter were the mainstreams of her home that drew people to her. Even in her final years with failing health and diagnosis of Alzheimers disease she loved serving others in so many ways. She was always an encourager who demonstrated that her love was sincere. Her life of love, laughter and acts of caring will be greatly missed not only by her family, but by all who knew her. Rosie will be greatly missed by her family and friends but remember this Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. (Psalm 116:15) By Gods amazing, loving grace we shall see you again! A celebration of Roses life will be held on 6, 2016 at 1p.m. at Road Baptist Church located at 5010 SW Road (SR 200) in Ocala.
