Obituary: William Joseph Koslo, Jr. a 21 Year resident of Darien CT, passed away May 5, 2011. He was 51. Raised in Garden City, NY, he was a 1978 graduate of Chaminade High School and of Dartmouth in 1982. Prior to joining Bank of Ireland in 2010, Bill spent 5 years at CIT, during which he ran the firms Capital Markets Group and was President of its broker-dealer. Bills previous experience includes approximately 25 years of leveraging loans, private placements and high yield debt. He also spent several years at regional investment bank, Rodman & Renshaw, specializing in executive IPOs, secondary offerings, and M&A transactions. Bill began his career in the Manufacturers Hanover Credit Training Program. Bill was actively involved in coaching both Darien Little League and CYO basketball. Bill is survived by 3 children, Elizabeth, Amanda, William III, and their mother, Lisa Koslo, all of Darien, CT. Also two brothers, Mark Koslo and Patrick Koslo, of Garden City, and, a sister, Karen Koslo Bingham, also of Garden City. In addition, Bill is survived by many nieces and nephews, He was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and William Koslo, of Garden City , NY. His father was former President & CEO of Diamond International Corp. Calling hours will be held , May 13, 2011 from 4-8 PM at The Leo P. Gallagher & Son 2900 Summer St Stamford, CT. Obituary: KOSKY, JR., Walter "Terry" Joseph Walter "Terry" Joseph Kosky, Jr., 72, beloved husband and best friend of 43 years to Kerry Guptill Kosky passed away at home morning ( 13, 2010) after a long, brave struggle with cancer. He was born 31, 1937 to the late Harriet (Stone) Kosky and Walter J. Kosky, Sr. He grew up on Spring Street in Deep River and graduated from Valley Regional High School in 1955. In 1967 he became a reluctant sports fan to impress Kerrys grandfather and later became an avid fan of the Red Sox, Dallas Cowboys and UConn basketball and football. In 1977 after living in Manchester and Colonie, New York, Walter left working in corporate industry to restore antiques with and learn from two local antique dealers. He set out on his own in 1990, naming his business Benchmark. three separate bouts with cancer Walter retired. His son David reopened the business as Benchmark Restoration LLC. Walter was one of the original members of the Muffin Korner/Cristys breakfast club. He liked sharing social and political views, art, literature, travel and sports (Red Sox vs Yankees) with his friends. He said it was a happy way to start each day. He was well traveled; Ireland being his favorite, followed closely by Bermuda, Alaska, Hawaii, New Orleans and anywhere in the Caribbean. He was well read and loved his Kindle. Walter has been a friend of Bill W. for 44 years. Besides his parents, Walter was predeceased by his sister Ethel Kosky Guptill and his brother Dennis Gary Kosky. He is survived by his wife, Kerry; his son David and wife Sabrina, his grandson, Kyle Kosky of Natick, Mass, his granddaughter, Sage Kosky, of Wiscasset, Maine, his mother-in-law, Kathleen Griffin Guptill of Westbrook, his sister-in-law Patricia Jones Kosky of Chester; his brother-in-law Donald Guptill and wife Kristen of Old Saybrook. He is also survived by two nieces and five nephews. The family wishes to thank the many dear friends, neighbors and customers who reached out to Walter recently and during the summer and fall when he tried so hard to regain a normal life. also wish to thank Dr. Peter Dixon for his physical and emotional support over the past twelve years. Obituary: Marjorie Campbell Koski, 78 years old, of Madison, CT and Bonita Springs, FL passed away peacefully at The Connecticut Hospice in Branford on 21, 2014 from complications of Parkinsons disease and Lewy Body Dementia. She is survived by and was the loving wife for 55 years of Walter Koski, originally of Manchester, CT; mother of Jennifer Koski Washburne of Madison, CT, and Allen Koski of Wilmington, DE. She had four grandchildren who she adored, Ben and Robbie Washburne of Madison, CT and Allie and Drew Koski of Wilmington, DE. She has predeceased her two ig brothers, John Campbell and Robert Campbell. She felt blessed to have her favorite son-in-law Peter Washburne and favorite daughter-in-law Susan Koski brought into her life by marriage. She was born in Rochester NY but the harsh winters she endured as a child motivated her to live in Florida each winter after her husbands retirement from SNET. She was a graduate of Bowling Green (Ohio) University and Columbia University, Graduate School of Business, in the first class of women to be admitted. graduating, she held several research jobs with Yale University in New Haven, CT. Marjorie was a stay at home Mom to her children and encouraged their love of international travel through journeys in Europe and Africa with them as children. She and her husband Walter had an amazing love story that began one evening at Columbia Business School in NYC when Walter saw her across the room at a college mixer and ended with them at CT Hospice together in her last minutes. She loved her family dearly especially her beloved family dogs, Tad and Mr. Ginger, her ginger-haired Norwich Terrier. She was proud of her Scottish heritage and her natural red hair which she had to her last day. Even more special was having two red-headed grandkids to whom she passed her ginger coloring. She was an avid reader with a special passion for poetry, enjoyed photography, played golf and tennis, relished shopping for a bargain and loved the ocean views in both Madison, CT and Bonita Beach, FL. A memorial service will be held at 11am on , 24, 2015 at Swan in Madison followed immediately by a burial in West in Madison, CT.
