Arlene was born on May 20, 1928 in Columbus to Franklin and Mabel (Poetter) Skalitzky. On May 31, 1947, she was married to Adolph Kruger in Beaver Dam. Arlene and her husband Adolph farmed together in the Leipsic area until his death in 1964. She later worked at Hillside Hospital in food service for over 20 years. She was a member of St. Stephens Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. She enjoyed flower gardening, embroidery, traveling with family and her daily telephone conversations with many family and friends. She was a very loving wife and mother. Her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren. Arlene is survived by her four sons: Allan (Mary) Kruger, Arden Kruger, Darrell Kruger and Kevin (Heather) Kruger all of Beaver Dam; two daughters: Linda (the late Joseph) Kaczmarski of Madison and Karen (Warren) Beske of Beaver Dam; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; two brothers: Donald Skalitzky of Randolph and Eugene (Irene) Skalitzky of Columbus. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Adolph, two brothers: Lester and Alvin Skalitzky, sister Betty Hodgkins and mother-in-law Mabel Kruger. Donald Robert Krug was born on 22, 1942, in Oak Park, IL, to parents Edwin and Emily (Nielson) Krug. graduating from high school, Donald joined the Army, where he defended his country in Viet Nam, and earned the Purple Heart for his services. Donalds bigger fight came throughout his long battle with cancer, yet he never lost his faith in God, his sense of humor, his fishing skills, or his love of playing the lottery. Lutheran Church, Horicon from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Paul JC Kruel Jr, age 71 passed away suddenly on , 28, 2014 at the Florida Hospital South in Orlando, Florida. He was born to Paul Sr. and Doris (Spettel) on 23, 1942 in the Octagon House where he resided until his death. Paul was a 1960 graduate of Horicon High School. he graduated he joined the National Guard where he served as a medic. Following his service, Pauly ran Kruels Dairy with his father until he retired in the late 1990s. Pauly also owned Kruels Insurance where he was an agent for Badger Mutual. He was a longtime volunteer for the Horicon Fire Department and ElVIS. Pauly worshiped at St. Stephens Ev. Lutheran Church in Horicon, WI. Pauly was an avid sports fan and loved cheering for the Wisconsin Badgers and Milwaukee Brewers. Even more than his fondness of Wisconsin sports was his love for the St. Louis Rams. He was a devoted fan through criticism, tough years, rebuilding years and the occasional winning season. Pauly also spent many years coaching boys baseball in Horicon. He was also spent summers of the past playing softball and golf. Among his pastimes Paul enjoyed traveling. He spent much of the summer season in Eagle River, WI and escaped winters to Lake Placid, Florida with his companion Lynda. He also enjoyed arguing politics with people. Paul is survived by his significant other, Lynda Schoenfeld ,Eagle River, WI, sisters- Jennie(Thomas)Heideman, and Janet (Michael) Kasten, all of Horicon, three nephews and one niece- Justin (Jenifer) Kasten, Waukesha, Jodi (Jason) Neuberger Beaver Dam, Christopher (Megan) Heideman, Waunakee, Benjamin(Kimberly)Heideman, Oshkosh, 9 great nieces and nephews- Keytra, Rayanna, Kyler, Maudie, Cole, Gavyn, Charlie, Khloe and Allie, aunts, uncles and many cousins and friends. Obituary: A beloved Horicon resident, Paul JC Kruel, Sr., age 95, passed away peacefully on , 18, 2009 at the Beaver Dam Community Hospital. Paul was born to Adolph and Jenny (Meyers) Kruel, Sr. on 29, 1914 in the Octagon House where he resided until his death. He married his beloved bride, Doris A. Spettel on 6, 1939. were married 59 years when she passed away in 1998. Mr. Kruel owned and operated the Kruel\s Dairy. He spent 25 years delivering dairy goods to the Horicon area residents and schools until he handed down the dairy to his son, Paul Jr. Paul Sr. also owned Kruel\s Insurance where he was an agent for Badger Mutual. Hard work and dedication was no stranger to this man and it showed to the loyal customers of both his ventures. Paul was an active member of his community. He was a Charter Member of the Horicon Kiwanis Club since 1962 and served as past President and Secretary for 12 years. He was also a member of St. Stephen Evangelical Lutheran Church in Horicon. He is fondly remembered as an avid sports fan. He greatly enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play sports and cheering on the Marshmen with Doris by his side. Perhaps his greatest love, apart from his family, was the Green Bay Packers. He held season tickets for many years until he gave them up in the late 1990\s. At that time, he coached the Green & Gold from his living room where few people knew he had direct feed to the coach\s ear set. That is perhaps why he insisted on watching the game alone from his recliner every week in fall. Family was the center of Paul\s universe and he was a wonderful father. Together with Doris they raised their son Paul Jr. and twins, Janet and Jennie. Rarely was there a dull moment in the Kruel household and as their family grew with grandchildren and great grandchildren they cherished every moment together. Paul also enjoyed corresponding and visiting with his distant family, the Cruels, who reside in Germany. Paul is survived by his son, Paul Kruel, Jr (special friend Lynda Schoenfeld), daughters, Jennie (Thomas) Heideman and Janet (Michael) Kasten, all of Horicon; four grandchildren, Justin (Jenifer) Kasten, Jody (Jason) Neuberger, Christopher (Megan) Heideman, and Ben (Kimberly) Heideman; six great grandchildren, Kyle Neuberger, Maudie Heideman, Cole Heideman, Gavyn Kasten, Charles Heideman, and Baby Neuberger (expected May 2010); two step great grandchildren, Keytra Neuberger and Rayanna Monroe.
