Obituary: Paul Kaczrowski, 75, of Ashwaubenon passed away on , 8, 2016. He was born on 20, 1940 to the late Paul and Helen (Pasowicz) Kaczrowski. He graduated from Seymour High School and was proud to be nominated as President at his last class reunion. Paul served proudly in the U.S. Army, was in Germany and to this day remembered his dog tag number. He is survived by his son, Todd (Tami), their children: Shawn, Wyatt, Walker, and Haylee (Kyle) Brunette; daughter, Paula (Al) VanderMeulen, their children: Ashley and Codie; great-grandchildren; Serenity, Hunter, and Kaiden. Also, step-children, step-grandchildren, his many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces and cousins. His loving brothers and sisters: Dolores Leisgang, Helen (LaVern) Leisgang, Eugene (Joanne), George, Darlene Werner, and Christine (Keith) Mueller. Further survived by his ex-wife and friend, Linda; his loyal office staff, especially Debbie Seefeldt and Carissa Lambert. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Helen; his son, Scott; his brother-in-law, Ollie Leisgang; and niece, Dana Werner. Paul came from humble beginnings growing up in the Seymour area on a farm and moved to the City of Seymour when he was 12. He always had a great Love of family. Paul said the most important person in his life was his Mother for whom he had a tremendous Love and respect. As a kid he would save his lunch money to buy things for her. He even had a tattoo on his arm with a heart and MOM on it. It was his goal in life to make her proud of him. He was always ambitious and as a teen he worked at the bowling alley when pins were stood up by hand, setting 90,000 in one year. He also worked at Hansens Drug Store and Seymour Canning Factory. Paul always had a great Love of family and was very generous. If you ever did anything for Paul he was sure to reward you many times over to show he appreciated you. Some of which was a Cadillac and Mercedes. He was generous to waitresses, had a warm heart for the homeless, and those who were in need. Paul was a successful entrepreneur and well known businessman in Green Bay, the Fox Valley, the Milwaukee area, and throughout the state. He started in Seymour with a gas station, a tavern (Hustle Inn, still in the family), and Pauls Auto Sales. Paul also held a huge rock concert and ran snowmobile races. He was always an amazing promoter. Paul was an avid racing fan. He put Seymour on the map and became known as The Czar when he started Pauls Speedway. He also owned his own race car. He offered huge pay-outs and brought in out of the area drivers like Dick Trickle and Tom Stueding to bring in the fans along with the top local renowned drivers. Much of the story is featured in Joe Verdegans new book Life in the Past Lane where Paul is featured and some of his racing story is told. Paul proceeded to also run tracks in De Pere, Plover, and Marshfield. At some of the tracks Paul was not only the promoter but was also the announcer. When he was in the booth you knew it and could hear him over the race cars as his enthusiasm shouted out and it was contagious. Paul said that the time in the racing business was one of the best times of his life and he met many great people as race fans along the way (who he still cherished il today) along with Dick Trickle and Dale Earnhardt. He also served as President of the National Dirt Track Assoc. Paul moved on to Green Bay where he operated numerous bars including Dallas North, where he held huge outdoor concerts, and brought in entertainers. He also owned restaurants, one of them being the Black Forest Supper Club. He also owned mini-malls and more. Along the way Paul traveled through 49 States. He met many celebrities, movie stars, and Presidents. Paul found his niche when he got into real estate in 1986 and became active in the Wisconsin State Exchangers out of Milwaukee, where he served as a three-time President, and was the guest speaker at the Realtors State Convention. What started as a one-man real estate office in l987 specializing in home sales has now become Prestige Realty, Inc. taking on apartment ownership, management, commercial sales, and development. Paul was a brilliant man and a visionary. Most of the time he was way ahead of the times. With Pauls office located on Lombardi Avenue he envisioned his dream for the east end of Lombardi. Beginning with the purchase and demolition of GB Structural Steel in 2000 Paul sought to develop the 17+acres as well as the 16 acres of land purchased on Tony Canadeo Run. Paul sold land and participated in building the Tundra Lodge. Following came Martys Boston Crab, Wendys, Perrys Cherry Diner, the Pizza Hut Wing Street (first in Wisconsin) and Champions (Burkels). His vision for that area also included a first class, 12 (50 unit Condominium project) and was to be named Prestige Park Towers. It would have been the tallest building in Green Bay. That vision did not come to fruition and Paul still to this day Paul felt that if not for the current Mayor the Towers would be standing today. Paul enjoyed his summers at the cottage, some winter time at his home in Florida, his family gatherings, Nascar races, watching old westerns, collecting Vintage cars and Western Remington statues, polish music, especially Chad Przybylski, with who he had so many fun times. Paul had a great zest for life always looking on the positive side of things. There wasn anything he didn think he could accomplish and the words can or won work were not in his vocabulary. He had many successes, but also had his share of heartache and some things that didn work out. But, he never let that pull him down for long and continued... |
