Obituary: Tracy Sue (Johnston) Kerslake 6/16/1969 - 10/2/2010 A love letter to my wife Dearest Tracy Sue, You are and will forever be my Sweet Peach. Although my heart breaks for the days we will not have, Im comforted by the years we had and the many ways you enriched my life. You are free from the pain and suffering, in a peaceful place surrounded by the animals you loved and people you missed. Your upbringing in Woodinville, Washington inspired your love for animals which have been a constant part of your life bringing with them their unconditional love and comfort. Thank you for sharing them with me as they will always be in my life and in my heart. Rest assured that Romio, Karma Sue, and Beamer will be cared for and loved. Your school years in Woodinville encouraged your love for music, song, and people. Thank you for sharing those passions with me. Im glad you were able to reconnect with the friends from your youth in recent years as those connections often helped to ease your pain and make your days a little brighter. Tracy: kind, caring, thoughtful, honest, and true. It was one of those serendipitous coincidences in 2003 when you reached out to a wacky piano man who inspired your move to Kirkland, WA that positively impacted so many lives. During your three years in Kirkland, you gained so much self-confidence and became the woman I fell head over heels for. Thank you for befriending The Ducks. I loved that you cared so much for them and were so intent on keeping them on the straight and narrow in spite of their inclinations to do otherwise. The many special occasions we all shared together will be remembered fondly for the rest of my life and the rest of theirs. Mama Duck will always be looking out for them and Im sure fretting over their silly mishaps and misadventures. Tracy: loyal, zany, talkative, ripped, pit bull. Courting you was no easy task and with so many mutual friends we both had a stake in getting it right. In spite of our calamitous first date, we saw enough in each other that we went on a second and the rest is history. From the No $#!* Sign date to our ig block of time and the many places we saw and things we did, I knew you were the one for me. Ill never forget the Grrrr face you made on our fishing our trip in Hawaii. Tracy: Vivacious, fun, smart, strong, sensitive, super cute . 25th 2006, was the day that forever changed us. Little did we know that it would send us on a journey that would physically and emotionally connect us in ways I wouldve never thought possible. Never once did we consider giving-up on the prospects for your recovery. As time went on, I learned what real commitment and dedication meant. You taught me to be stronger than I ever thought possible while nurturing my personal and professional development along the way. You taught me what it means to be selfless and I took great satisfaction in finding ways to help you, make you more comfortable, and put those unforgettable smiles on your face as often as possible. Tracy: courageous, brave, constant, self-aware. Ill never forget how you planned our wedding from bed and how much it kept your spirits high even during extremely painful times. Im inspired by your self-advocacy and your thirst for learning. Im glad you found various families and even medical professionals in your life that provided comfort when you were down and filled the gaps where I couldn . all love you and though they will miss you deeply, they are at peace that you are happy and free. Obituary: KERSHNER, Russell W Mr. Kershner of Coulee City, WA, passed onto the loving hands and embrace of our Lord, Jesus Christ, on 2, 2016 in Grand Coulee WA. Mr. Kershner was born on 13, 1941 in Williamsport, PA to William Kershner and Edith (Woodhouse) Kershner. He is survived by his wife, Mary Anne Kershner whom he married on 10, 2001 and then their marriage was later sealed in the LDS Spokane Temple for time and all eternity in 2011, four (4) children: Diana (Willard) Greenfield, Derrick (Leslie) Kershner, William Patrick Kershner, Candis (Michael) Schuman, four (4) step children: Randy (Tamara) Ward, Jeff (Sue) Ward, Wendy (Martin) Olbricht, Marcy (Mark) Manderscheid, twenty-three (23) Grandchildren, and three (3) Great Grandchildren. He is also survived by his three (3) loving brothers: Dennis (Waynna) Kershner (and his best friend), Scott (Vicky) Kershner, Denver Kershner and loving sister, Rebecca (Keith) Helms, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Kershner is preceded in death by his first wife of forty-one years, Sharon Lee Kershner, his parents, William and Edith Kershner, his daughter, Deanna Dawn Carson, his stepson, David Ward, and his brother, Mervin Kershner. Mr. Kershner was a proud Vietnam Veteran as a member of The United States Army from 1960-1968. He served two (2) tours of duty in Vietnam, where he was wounded in action during the second tour. He was honorably discharged with a combined 8 medals/decorations. When he returned to the States he went to work at Boeing in Seattle, Grand Coulee Dam and eventually became a pioneer in the installation of computer systems in lumber mills from Canada to Portland, Oregon. As a Computer Analyst he started his own business earning contracts with many government agencies, including NASA, and private businesses such as IBM, until his retirement. He was a member of the Coulee Dam Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he became an Elder, the VFW, American Legion, Kiwanis Club, former Scout Master and had met all of the requirements to acquire his Eagle Scout certificate. He very much enjoyed fishing, traveling, gardening, genealogy and UFO research, and watching football at every possible opportunity. In High School he was an active athlete participating in baseball, track and football. Our daddy was an amazing, loving and very special father, grandfather, friend and husband first to our mother, Sharon, and then our second mother, Mary Anne. His passing will leave a profound void in the hearts of all of those who were fortunate enough to know him. His kindness and generosity in this world will truly be missed and his passing will leave a void that will be indescribably heartbreaking to all that love him. Mr. Kershners viewing will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on , 7, 2016 at the Coulee Dam Church of the Latter Day Saints followed by a Service at 11:00 AM, with Bishop Scott Graham, Officiating. Interment service will be held on , 8, 2016 at 1:30 PM in Medical Lake at the Washington State Veteran . Memorials can be made to the Coulee City Ambulance and/or any Animal Rescue Organization.
