Obituary: Sharon Lynn Kliewer passed away suddenly in her sleep on 2nd. Sharon was born on 16, 1939 in Watsonville, California to LaVerne and Charles E. Trafton. Sharon was proud to be a descendant of one of the original pioneering families in Watsonville. In 1957, Sharon graduated from Watsonville High School. While in high school, she was an active member of Rainbow Girls, Rally and Dance committees, and Girls Athletic Association where she served as Girls Athletic manager of her senior class. graduating high school, she attended Monterey Peninsula , majoring in fashion designing. her sophomore year, Sharon married her high school sweetheart, her true and lifelong love, the ew boy in town, as he had only been in Watsonville since 2nd grade, Kim M. Kliewer, on 13, 1959 at All Saints Episcopal Church and held their reception at the Watsonville Womens Club. Sharon was a longtime member of P.E.O. Chapter JB and to the D.A.R. (Daughters of the American Revolution). Her love and devotion for her husband of 55 happy years, Kim, and for all of her family and friends, as well as her unlimited kindness; gentleness; generosity; and love of life was part of what made her such a unique, special, and beloved person. Sharon is survived by her husband Kim, their daughter Tammera Santillan (husband John Santillan) of Gilroy, CA., granddaughter Sarah Allen (husband Eric Allen), great-grandchildren Nadia and Lorenzo Allen; and her son, Kraig T. Kliewer (wife Julie Kliewer) of Hollister, CA. Grandchildren Austen, Elli, and Kenneth Kliewer. Please join the family for a celebration of Sharons life on , 14th at 11 a.m. at Twin Lakes Church, 2701 Cabrillo Dr., Aptos, CA 95003 Mehls Colonial Chapel was entrusted with cremation arrangements. Obituary: Lillian Kliewer, 83, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on , 28, 2015 in Yucaipa, California. She was born in Reedley, California on 10, 1932 to Pete and Lily Thiesen. She had a happy childhood on the farm, even though she lost her father prior to her birth. Her second dad, Ed Panter, loved and raised her as his own. graduating high school, Lillian attended Bible Institute of Los Angeles (BIOLA ) where she met Robert, the love of her life and husband for 54 years. In her early years she was a school teacher at Culter Academy & Baldwin Park Christian School. She served faithfully as a pastors wife with her husband in various locations: West Covina, Modesto, Seal Beach, Temecula, Westminster, and Cherry Valley. Lil loved flowers, lace, tea parties, and all things Victorian. She was a classy, beautiful, remarkable woman who enjoyed meeting new people and had the gift of hospitality. At times she was affectionately referred to as Diamond Lil and The Life of the Party. She will be remembered for her ability to make hymns come to life on the piano as she played them by ear. Lillian is survived by her daughters, Lynne OBrien (Husband Steve) of Beaumont and Jan Hunt (Husband Les) of San Clemente; brother, Marvin Panter (Wife Peggy) of New Mexico; sister Shirley Wilder (Husband Larry) of Reedley, CA; Lillian has 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service is scheduled for , 20, 2015 at 11:00 am at LifePoint Church, 565 N. San Gorgonio Avenue, Banning, CA. On 3, 2015, Lillian was privately laid to rest with her husband, Reverend Robert C. Kliewer at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier, CA. |
