Obituary: Jack Deforest Kisling was born on 25, 1953 in Orange, New Jersey. He graduated High School Valedictorian in Hillside, New Jersey. He studied engineering at Denver University transferring to The University of Utah making the Deans list and graduating with a Masters Degree in Computer Science. He later moved to Laguna Beach, California and began his own successful computer networking business. Jack resided in San Diego, California for the past 15 years. While in San Diego he enjoyed volunteering for the San Diego Food & Pantry, serving as president for a year. He is survived by his partner, Devoreo Lee Bell of San Diego; mother, Dorothy Kisling of Laguna Niguel; brothers; Richard Kisling and his wife, Paula of Boonville, Mark Kisling and his wife, Mary of Ukiah; nephews, Richard Jack Kisling of Boonville, Kevin Kisling of Fort Bragg and Joe Knedler; great nephew, Bradford Kisling; and many relatives and friends. |

Obituary: Doris Margaret Hergenroeder Kisling, of Fresno, died 11, 2014 in Sonora. She was 87. The youngest of 12 children, Doris was born in Smith Valley, Nevada, and shortly thereafter moved to California, where she lived all her life. She graduated from Central Union High School in Fresno. In 1958, Doris married Donald Kisling. The couple raised their three children on a grape farm in Raisin City and later owned Kisling's Family Steak- house in Sonora. Doris went on to retire from Safeway in the mid 1980s. Known for her feistiness, she enjoyed her rose garden and was famous for her pickles and jams. Her children and grandchildren kept her young at heart. She is survived by her three sons and their spouses, Ed and Deanna, of Sonora, Don and Connie, of Greensboro, NC, and Chris and Deanna, of Clovis; grandchildren Katie, Aaron, Jessica, Whitney, Kelly and her husband Billy, Kenny and Kory; and two great-granddaughters, Shelby and Sydney. Doris was predeceased by her husband, Donald, and her grandchild, Andrew. Visitation will be held at Lisle on , 15, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A Service will be held at Lisle on , 16, 2014 at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Fresno Memorial Gardens. |
