Obituary: Craig H. Kinsley, Ph.D., 61, of Richmond, VA passed away peacefully 26, 2016 surrounded by family and friends. Craig was pre-deceased by his parents, Dorothy and Howard Kinsley, his older sister, Christie, his uncle, Rudy Sulenta, and Perelman the cat. He is survived by his wife, Nancy, daughter Devon, son David, Koko the cat, sisters Cathy (Brent) Maher, Carla (John) Skorin, nieces Sandy (Josh) Dean, Kelsey Rogers, Jenna McPeek, nephews Michael (Autumn) Maher and Cameron (Heather) Rogers. Craig was much beloved by his parents-in-law, Marge and Shelly Lustig and sister-in-law, Sue McPeek. Craig was born in Pico Rivera, CA. He received his B.S. in Psychology from Sonoma State University, his Ph.D. in Behavioral Neuroscience from S.U.N.Y. Albany. He was a post-doctoral fellow and research associate in the Laboratory of Human Reproduction and Reproductive Biology, Department of Anatomy, at Harvard Medical School, and an instructor at Harvard University. He joined the University of Richmond and its Department of Psychology in 1989 where he rose to the rank of full professor, and has been joyfully teaching Neuroscience and mentoring students in the classroom and lab for almost 27 years. Always quick with a bad joke or a pun (channeling his father, Howard) he always made himself laugh. Sometimes we laughed with him. He loved his students, allowing them to grow and shine and giving them all the credit for their many successes. His work was his avocation, never a job. There is a celebration of his life scheduled for May 29, 2016 at 1:00 at the Cannon Memorial Chapel, University of Richmond. Obituary: Menno Joseph Kinsinger, 79, of Stuarts Draft, Virginia, passed away , 28, 2016, at his home due to congestive heart failure. Menno was born in Meyersdale, Pennsylvania to Milton and Katie (Hochstetler) Kinsinger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Joseph; great grandson, Trevor Yoder; sisters, Bertha & Orpha; brother, Herman and step-mother, Martha. He was the last surviving member of his family. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sadie Barbara (Yoder), their six daughters: Linda (Allen) Beiler of Stuarts Draft, VA; Kathy (Phil) Yoder of Goshen, IN; Treva (Tim) Yoder of Vanleer, TN; Brenda (Bill) Schrock of Amherst, VA; Joanna (Lamar) Bontrager of Topeka, IN; and Barb (Jason) Beachy of Broadway, VA; 26 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. Menno committed his life to the Lord as a young man. He was a member of the Pilgrim Fellowship Church and enjoyed his church family. Prison ministry was close to his heart, having volunteered at the Craigsville Prison for many years. Menno spent most of his life as a logger at Kinsinger's Logging Service and performing restoration of log homes and buildings. He learned blacksmithing and stone laying as complimentary arts to the trade. One of his local projects include the American Farm at the Frontier Culture Museum in Staunton. He loved nature and admired the handywork of God, often describing its beauty to others or pointing it out to those with him. Menno loved people and dropped whatever he was doing for a chat. He had a generous heart and was a friend to all. He entertained guests and family with many a well loved story. his bout with spinal meningitis, he was forced to retire from his business due to health challenges. He spoke often of his deep longing to go to be with Jesus. His heart's desire was that his family and friends love the Lord and join him in Heaven someday. He could often be heard praying for his family by name, interceding for them. His influence on their lives will continue and his prayers and presence will be deeply missed. Visitation will be held at the church on , 29, 2016 from 6:00 pm- 8:00 pm and , 30, 2016 from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm and 6:00 pm-8:00 pm. Menno will be laid to rest at the Pilgrim Christian Fellowship Church on Tinkling Spring Road. Obituary: Jane Frantz Kinsinger, 91, of Stafford passed away , Dec. 17, 2014. Our mother, Jane, passed away with peace and love in her heart. She was preceded in death by her husband and our dad, Charles Kinsinger; her mother and father, Ida and Aaron Frantz; sisters Mary Alva and Ruth; and brothers Charles, Clair, Raymond, Edward and Joseph. She is survived by her daughter, Janie and her husband, Mark; her son, Charles and his wife, Melati; grandson Max; her dear nieces and nephews; and lifetime dear friend Betty Davies. Jane was a talented artist and seamstress and treasured her family history and heirlooms. She was a caring, giving woman to her husband, parents and extended family, but her greatest legacy was that of a loving mother. We will forever think of our ideal childhood and all the years after that she made so special for us. She would have loved donations in her name to St. Jude Childrens Hospital or the Fredericksburg SPCA.
