Obituary: Our dear mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend has been reunited with her beloved Earl in a wonderful place of peace and beauty. Her mortal sojourn began in Mammoth Utah on 19, 1921 and was completed on 27, 2008 in Payson Utah . Though her life was sometimes hard, she sought and found many treasures along lifes path, but her most valuable treasure was her family. She is survived by her four sons, James E. (Rena) Kirk, Trace L (Jacque) Kirk, Brandon L. (Joann) Kirk, Troy E. (Christine) Kirk, 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Per moms wish, a graveside service will be held in the Pleasant Grove cemetery When the sunset reflects off the green peaks of Mt. Timpanogos . From Mom and Dads life history, we read: We look forward to seeing our trees grow in Oregon, walking in the desert in Arizona, playing in the surf in Puerto Rico, and relaxing in the shadow of our own Timpanogos. Obituary: Cleo Thorne Kirk Cleo Thorne Kirk, 87, of Orem, died , 7, 2007 in Orem. She was born 5, 1920, in Pleasant Grove, a daughter of Elvin and Mable Jensen Thorne. She married Jack M. Kirk, 14, 1940, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died 9, 1992. She grew up in Pleasant Grove and after her marriage she and Jack lived in North Orem on a fruit and dairy farm. She spent many years working on the farm beside her husband. Her greatest joy was her family, grand kids and her great grand kids. She loved to do handwork and crafts. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in the Young Women and Relief Society programs. She is survived by her son, David (Ann) Kirk, and daughter, Carolyn (Clyde) DeFriez; her 3 grandchildren, five great grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Laurel Thorne, and brother-in-law, Ted Fautin. She was preceded in death by her husband, her sister, Jemael Fautin, her brother, E Max Thorne and her grandson, Boyd Kirk. The family would like to thank the staff at Summerfield Manor and a special thanks to Dora and hospice for the loving care of their mother. services will be held at 2 p.m. in the Walker Sanderson , 646 East 800 North, Orem, where friends may call from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the services. Obituary: Angela Kirk 1972 ~ 2010 facing cancer with courage and dignity for four and a half years, our precious Angie died on 12th, 2010. Angie was born to Lary James, and Sandra Monk Kirk on 29th, 1972, in American Fork, Utah. She graduated from Mountain View High School and attended Utah Valley Community . She served in the LDS Illinois Chicago mission, and among other church callings, was a faithful advisor and teacher in the Young Womens organization, a Relief Society teacher, and Visiting Teaching coordinator. She also served for five years in a BYU stake Relief Society presidency. Family was all important to Angie and she was in her true element when nurturing, serving and using her vast creative skills planning parties and important family events. Angies delightful sense of humor, her thoughtful insights, and honest opinions were valued and enjoyed by all who knew and loved her. Her life long friendships are a testament to her devotion and love. Until health problems stole her energy she loved the time she worked as an editor of the Novell Magazine – and considered her coworkers there among her dearest friends. Angie loved to travel and even though she had some memorable experiences in Europe, Hawaii and Mexico, Disneyland was always her true happy place. She was preceded in death by her father and her grandparents; Verl and Ora Kirk and Wayne and Phyllis Monk. She is survived by her mother and step-father, Sandra and Bill Sawaya; brother Steve Kirk (Nancy), sisters Colleen Briggs (Derek), Kim Brown (Scott), and Karie; also 10 nieces and nephews; Cassidy, Jade, Cal, Connor, Jake, Kirk, Josie, Taylor, Jaxon and Lexi. She is also survived by three step-brothers; Bill Sawaya (Kali), Ben Sawaya (Sara), Steve Sawaya (Laura) and five step-sisters; Rebekah Shumway (Brian), Elizabeth Crow (Brian), Catherine Sawaya, Emily Humes (Scott) and Amy Sawaya and 17 step nieces and nephews. Angie and her family express deepest appreciation to Dr. Wendy Breyer, Dr. TJ Blair, Dr. Paul Gardner, and Dr. Gary Garner and their wonderful staffs. services for Angie will be held , 17th, at 11:00 am at the Mt Mahogany 1st Ward building at 1541 N. 1300 W. in Pleasant Grove.
