Obituary: Ada Woodruff Keddington I lived, I died, Ill see you on the other side. Ada (Rammy), our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on 10, 2015 surrounded by family. Rammy was born on 5, 1917 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Fred and Elva Woodruff. Throughout their lives, she was surrounded by the love and affection of her two brothers Judd and John and her sister Francis, all of whom she adored. She had two beautiful daughters, Elva and Betty, who she loved more than life itself and they enjoyed every moment together as a close family. Their bond was unique and was only furthered by her step-son Darrell, who she loved and always spoke highly of. She was blessed when she welcomed and helped to take care of her three grandchildren and then again when she was told she would be a great grandmother. Spending time with Rob, Patrick, Amie, Mckenzi and Travis as well as Kyzer and Lux were the highlight of her life in her later years. She retired from her career working for the Salt Lake Auditors Office at the young age of 68. She spent the rest of her life loving and caring for her mother, family and friends. It was truly her lifes work which is reflected in the memories and influences of many people today. Her legacy as a mentor, caregiver, and friend was coupled with her ability to make people laugh and smile. She had a ball with the Bonco club, and visiting her family and friends in Houston, Texas. She was an inspiration to anyone who knew her for her strength and tenacious spirit. Her humor was simply contagious even in the midst of her own medical condition. But the true legacy she left was the love and interest she showed in other people. This was the heart and soul of Rammy. We were very fortunate to have known her and have experienced her graceful presence. She was a positive, upbeat, lady who made everyone around her feel so special. A mother to many and a friend to all. Heaven has received a wonderful angel. We wanted to thank Maggie and Madeline Paul, Dorothy Chevis and her precious McKenzi who were great friends and care givers. kept her company and she always looked forward to seeing them. She was proceeded in death by both parents and three siblings and her son in law, Spencer Moyes who will be celebrating with her for all eternity until we join them again. Survived by her daughters Elva Moyes, Betty Keddington, her son Darrell Keddington (Madge), grandchildren Robert Moyes, Patrick Moyes (Amie) and Mckenzi Hilton (Travis), and her great grandchildren Kyzer and Lux Moyes. Services will be held at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Viewing at 10:00 AM. Graveside services at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Moran Eye or the American Cancer Society. |

Obituary: Marcella Ann (Marcie) Zimmer Keating 1930 - 2015 Marcella Ann (Marcie) Zimmer Keating beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away peacefully on 24, 2015 surrounded by her family. She was born on 16, 1930; the ninth of thirteen children to George and Alma Zimmer, in Montrose, South Dakota. On 5, 1951 she married Pat Keating, the boy next door, and together they had eight children. Marcie, Pat, and their family lived in South Dakota, until 1967 when they relocated to Granger, Utah. were married for 45 years before Pats death in 1996. Marcie was a devoted wife and mother who ensured the household was running smoothly, at least as smoothly as it could with that many kids! She was a great mom that raised her children to be loyal, responsible, respectful, hard-working and tolerant of others. She was a devout member of the Catholic Church and strong in her faith. People marveled at moms incredible memory because she never forgot anything, no matter how trivial it seemed. She really enjoyed people and loved nothing better than visiting with family and friends. Moms interests throughout the years included, reading, playing cards, baking (killer cinnamon rolls), traveling, her bible study group and doing volunteer work. Marcie was extremely proud of her children and loved talking about them to anyone who would listen (friends, store clerks, telemarketers, etc). She was a kind loving and gracious woman; never wanting to put people out. Our mom always loved dancing; and although she will be greatly missed, we are happy to know she is dancing with our Dad, once again. Marcie was proceeded in death by her husband Pat Keating, her son-in-law Charlie Fratto, her parents, her brothers Walter, Leroy, Harold, Francis, Paul and her sister Mary. She is survived by her children Lynn Fratto (Nick Floros), Valerie (John) Paras, Mike (Diane) Keating, Steve (Jeanette) Keating, Craig (Sheila) Keating, Kathy (Mike) Hewitt, John (Tonia) Keating, and Patrick (Diana) Keating. She also leaves behind 20 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brothers, Gene, Stan and Tom; and sisters, Margaret, Rita and Lois. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on , 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 7405 S. Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. The family will receive friends on evening from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. at the church with a Vigil Service starting at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 W. 4100 So., West Valley City, Utah. Special thanks to the staff at Legacy House and Canyons Hospice, and especially to Mary Fratto, moms nurse and friend for many years. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Vincents de Paul Soup Kitchen, 437 W. 200 S. SLC, Utah 84104 or St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. |

Obituary: Our beloved father, grandfather, brother, companion, and friend, concluded his earthly sojourn on 2, 2015, at age 77 from pulmonary fibrosis. He was born in Flandreau, South Dakota on 25, 1937, to Harold and Leah Waxdahl Keating. He learned the value of hard work through farm life, but his wise parents, recognizing his abilities in things electrical and mathematical, provided for him a college education rather than a farm. He graduated from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in 1959. Promptly after graduation, he married his high school sweetheart, Doris Heesch, and one week later they made their way to their new life, and Harveys new job at Sperry Univac, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He later obtained a masters degree in electrical engineering from the Univ. of Utah. While in Salt Lake they had three children and fell in love with the wild Utah landscape. filled weekends with camping, fishing, and dirt bike riding, and raised their children to value hard work and family fun. In 1997, Doris passed away following many months of loving and watchful care by Harvey. Fortunately, he later became acquainted with Susan Fisher, who became a great love and companion. spent their retirement years traveling the world and spending winters in Palm Springs, CA. Susan took wonderful care of Harvey during his final weeks as the disease took its toll. He will be greatly missed. Harvey will be remembered as kind and practical man, a planner, and a wonderful caregiver. He enjoyed amateur radio (K7LJQ and later, N7HK) starting as a teenager. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Randall Keating, and his wife, Doris. He is survived by his children, David (Erika), Chicago, IL; Carol (Mark Mills), Boise, ID; and Ryan (Tanya), St. George, UT; five grandchildren: Hannah, Sterling, Audrey, Luke and Chloe; his sister Louise Stuedeman, Flandreau, SD; and his companion, Susan Fisher. According to Harveys wishes, no funeral service will be held. An informal celebration of his life will be held on , Feb. 9, 2015, at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Dr., where friends may visit from 7-9 p.m. Interment will be under the direction of Wasatch Lawn on , Feb. 10 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 E. Ohio St., Chicago, IL 60611. |
