Obituary: While it is possible to receive good counsel from a wide circle of family and friends, few could do it with the skill and aptitude of Mrs. Svetlana Krugliak. She had a true talent for helping others reach their full potential and brought out the best in those who sought her help. Svetlana was a forward-looking woman whose personality was filled with empathy toward everyone she met. She could be quiet and reserved, but her style of communication was authentic and direct. An excellent communicator, Svetlana was a master at using imagery when she explained her ideas and concepts. She seemed to have an endless supply of innovative concepts and strategies for how to help those around her. Her sensitivity, kindness and generous attitude made her a wonderful friend for all who knew her. From the time she was born on 25, 1950, Svetlana showed a deep concern for others. She was a giving and caring individual, ethical and full of integrity and warmth. Svetlana came into this world in the industrial center of Russia in Kemerovo in the heart of Siberia. Her parents were young. Anatoly, her 21 year old father and Ludmila Denisov, her 20 year old mom concentrated their love and devotion on their firstborn. Marfa Denisov, Svetlanas grandmother, helped them raise their first child. When Svetlana was one year old, the family moved to Novosibirsk, Russia and lived in a three generation home. Because fellowship was so important to her, Svetlana promoted harmony with her sibling. She was raised with one sibling, a younger brother, Vladimir. Svetlana and Vladimir spent their childhood together sharing friends and experiences. Svetlana was raised in a home that was filled with love between her parents and grandparents. The relationships in her own family were based on the love and mutual understanding she experienced as a child. As a young girl, Svetlana interacted well with other children. She was helpful. She was an independent person who had a vivid imagination. Svetlana had a number of interests in her youth. She was an active child. She was a member of the Pioneer and Komsomol organizations. In her spare time she liked to create paintings, bake cakes, and do embroidery. Svetlanas memorable achievements included her ability to memorize and recite childrens books by heart. A good student who was enthusiastic about learning, Svetlana was considered by many to be a high achiever. She enjoyed some classes more than others, having favorite courses and teachers. Her favorite class in high school was mathematics. The teacher she enjoyed learning from the most was David Lvovich. Svetlana was at the top of her class in mathematics. Upon graduating from high school, she was accepted into Novosibirsk State Technical University computer science program where she met her future husband. Svetlanas talents in writing proved to be an asset for her during her college years. She excelled in classes, even in some subjects that didn particularly interest her. Svetlana became known to her peers as a seeker of wisdom who appreciated all types of courses, especially those in Liberal Arts which allowed her to build on her remarkable retention of general knowledge. Svetlana was the Chief Editor of the University newspaper and frequently wrote articles about student life. She graduated with a Masters degree in computer science. Able to maintain a positive focus on the potential good to be found in others, Svetlana was always ready with solid advice and guidance to offer her group of friends. She was friendly to all who knew her, yet to some she seemed quite independent. For those who really knew Svetlana, they recognized that she could be full of surprises. Svetlana enjoyed a small but solid group of true friends. She would willingly support those friends when they needed it. Because of her ability to read people, she had an uncanny knack for knowing when a friend needed help. While growing up, some of her best friends were Zoya and Olga. Later in life, she became friends with Emma Iomdina, Lena Reiderman, Natasha Forgang, and Galina Balakirov. Svetlana was romantic, even poetic at times. She was completely devoted to family and friends, able to show her emotions, share her opinion, and express her love toward others. On 22, 1974 Svetlana exchanged wedding vows with Zinovy Krugliak at Dvoretz Brakosochetaniy of Novosibirsk, Russia. began their life in Academgorodok, Russia and two years later, they had their first daughter, Natasha. All who knew her would agree that there was a certain kind of magic in how Svetlana was able to bond with her children. She raised her children in a way which created mutual trust, understanding, and respect. Svetlana was always a mentor who helped her family reach its full potential. Svetlana was blessed with two daughters, Natasha and Liza. Many happy days were spent fishing, hiking, and skiing in the forests and lakes of Siberia. Their dacha was a very labor intensive project, however they successfully grew fruits, vegetables, and beautiful flowers. Liza, her second daughter, came along in 1987. Five years later, the family immigrated to Israel to start a new life in the Holy Land. A lot of travel commenced henceforth. traveled the country together from north to south and east to west. savored the new culture and environment. It was quite a change from the Siberian winters to the hamsins of Israel. In 1996, Zinovy was invited to join a project in the United States and the family moved to another industrial center - Houston, Texas. Svetlana and Zinovy bought a family home and planted a fabulous garden. Joyful gatherings were held within those walls and many happy occasions were celebrated in the company of good friends and good wine. Svetlana projected a subtle but positive influence in her workplace. She possessed strong skills in long-range planning and project completion, a quality continued... |

Obituary: Trula Nell Kruger went to be with the Lord on Nov. 20, 2015 at the age of 91. Born on Oct. 12, 1924, in Jayton, TX, she lived mostly in Austin and Georgetown. She always went by her middle name, Nell. When the time came for her to live at Assisted Living, they called her by her first name, Trula. She never told them she went by Nell and just started going by Trula the rest of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Kruger and sons, George Byrne Jr., Timothy Byrne (recent passing), and stepson, Travis Kruger. She is survived by her son, Robert Byrne and wife Karen, daughter, Vivian and husband, Ray. 7 grandkids, Nancy Glenn, Renee Oertli-Cullor, Daniel Oertli, Kathy Byrne Myers, Shannon Custer, Erin Byrne Hill, and Craig Kruger, 9 great grandchildren, and 2 great- great- grandsons. When she married Calvin they bought an RV and did a lot of travelling around the U.S. were both members of the Moose Lodge #1417, which they joined in 1973. She also was a member of the Daughters of the Nile since the 1960s. had many fun years together. Thank you to the caregivers at Pflugerville for their compassion and care. Thank you to Texas for providing her comfort during her last days. |

Obituary: Tonia Marie Kruger, 25, of Katy, was sent to Heaven on , 10, 2013. She was born to Douglas and Carrie Shields, May 19, 1987, in Austin. She graduated from Bowie High school in 2005 and received an associates degree from ACC in 2009. She married Ross Kruger on 11, 2011, and they lived together in Station and Katy. Tonia was a long-time member of Western Hills Church of Christ in Austin and had been attending Cinco Ranch Church of Christ in Katy. She was selfless and would give of her time to whoever was in need. She was a true servant, never asking for praise and attention while giving all of her. She touched many lives in her short time on earth, and her legacy will live on in the lives she saved through donation of her organs. She was beloved by everyone she met. She is survived by her loving husband, Ross; parents, Doug and Carrie and Wes and Susan; siblings, Bryan, Stephanie, Steven, Sammi, Lana, John, Jannette, Reid, and Rhett; 3 nieces and 1 nephew; and countless other friends and families. services will be held at 2:00 p.m., , 17, 2013 at Western Hills Church of Christ located at 6211 Parkwood Drive with Pastor Danny Fuertes to officiate.
