Obituary: Harvey Komet, M.D. passed away suddenly on 14, 2002 at the age of 66. He was born on 7, 1935 in the Bronx, New York to Philip and Sylvia Komet. completing his medical studies at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, he served as a captain in the United States Air Force before entering private practice in Otolaryngology. During his 31 years as an E.N.T. physician, he also served as a consultant to the U.S. Air Force and was associate clinical professor at the U.T. Science . He served on the GovernorÂs Commission for Initiatives in the state of Texas and served as Bexar representative, AACOG Committee. From 1971-1978, he served as Chairman of the Bexar Hospital District Board of Managers and was instrumental in the development of the South Texas Medical , the establishment of the Brady Memorial Clinic and the Neighborhood Out Patient Clinic program, which became the model for current out patient clinics. He served as Chief of Surgery with Santa Rosa System Northwest from 1991-1995. In 1997, he was appointed by then-Governor George W. Bush to the Texas State Board of Examiners-Speech, Language, Pathology and Audiology. retiring from private practice, he served as Medical Director of Humana Plans-San Antonio; Senior Medical Director, Humana care Plans-Western Region, and Medical Director of Cybercare Technology Inc. He currently served as Medical Director for Komet Hearing Solutions, Inc. and was enjoying his recent appointment as Senior Public Physician with the San Antonio Metropolitan District. One of his greatest joys was caring for his patients. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife, Millicent ÂMickey Komet: his children Lauri and Mark Porter; David Komet; Leslie and Adam Ausburn; Missy and Eric Rindler, their mother Eleanor Komet, and his 13 grandchildren whom he greatly adored: Erin Porter, Shane Porter, Sarah Komet, Alexander Komet, Evan Komet, Ethan Ausburn, Madeleine Ausburn, Peyton Ausburn, Andrew Rindler, Ben Rindler, Leah Bernstein, Sam Liebman and Faith Gutman. He is also mourned by stepchildren Marcy and Mark Liebman; Robin Gutman and Paul Bernstein. Kirby and Lacey, his faithful canine companions of 12 years, will miss him greatly. |

Obituary: Nickolas E. Komar, 71, of Marlin, passed away , May 20, 2015. services will be 2:00 PM, , May 23, 2015 at Grace Lutheran Church with the Reverend Kurt Rutz officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest . The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on , May 22nd at Adams . Mr. Komar was born on 23, 1943 in Marlin, Texas to Estella (Locke) and William H. Komar, Sr. He married Darlene McDaniel on 7, 1964 in Mart and they celebrated over 51 wonderful years together. Mr. Komar formerly managed the meat market at Safeway in Marlin, owned Commerce Street Drive In Grocery, Sears Catalog Sales Merchant for 17 years, owned Ward Street Laundromat and also Nicks Drive In on Ward Street. He was a very active member of Grace Lutheran Church where he formerly served as an Elder, Board of Stewards and the Board of Education. His parents preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife; Darlene Komar of Marlin, children; Karen Lawrence of Indianapolis, Indiana and Keith Komar and his wife, Midori of Lihue, Hawaii, sisters; Frances Barganier and her husband, R.B., Barbara Kerns and Kathy May, brother; William Komar, Jr., grandchildren; Hannah Komar, Takeshi Komar, A.J Lawrence and Grace Lawrence and several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. The family would like to give a special thanks to Providence Hospital and Golden Years for the love and care they gave Mr. Komar. Obituary: John Henry (Pete) Kolster, Jr., went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on 12, 2015. He was born ini San Angelo, Texas on 27, 1935. Pete was preceded in death by his loving wife of 43 years, Joan Palladino Kolster. Also by his loving parents, Margaretta and John H. Kolster, Sr. Pete is survived by three loving sisters, Margie Tullos, Ann Carman, and Viola Rice. John grew up in Arden, Texas, west of San Angelo. He graduated from Mertzon High School in Texas and joined the Navy. He always remembered enjoying a wonderful life fillied with many blessings from the Lord. The next best thing was meeting his wife, Joan, while working in a service station in El Paso, Texas. He always claimed it was the Lord's doing that brought them together. Pete worked for the phone company, Bell Atlantic in Arlington, Virginia, which is now Verizon. He retired in 1992. Pete and Joan both became born again Christians in 1995, and joined Harvest Baptist Church after moving back to San Angelo, Texas in 2001. Their church family has been a blessing to Pete during Joan's illness along with the support and love they received from family and friends. Special thanks goes to Beverly Baughman for her outstanding love and care and to Dr. Dawn Gonzalez for her support and care during this difficult time. service is at 11:00 a.m. on , 18, 2015 at Harvest Baptist Church, 2021 Austin St. in San Angelo with Pastor Ron Patterson officiating. Burial will be in Midway on Arden Road. Pallbearers are Frank Jackson, Tim Carter, Ben Koca, Aaron Baughman, Steven Whitaker, Aaron Martin, Martin Koca and David O'Dell. Obituary: John L. Kolster passed away , 26, 2011 at the age of 61 from a courageous battle with cancer. John was born 29, 1949 to Mary Kolster. He married the love of his life on 24, 1973. serving his country John was a dedicated employee of Angelo Pellets for 36 years after a short career in the oilfield. He also had a love for welding and owned Kolster Welding. John was the stronghold of the family. His most precious possessions were his grandchildren, his Harley, and Dodges. Survivors include five sons; Ronnie Kolster his wife Pam and their children Hayley and Scelzi of Mt.
