Obituary: Dorothy was born in Baptist Memorial Hospital in downtown Houston on 8, 1926 to Arthur Brubaker and Lura Mae Wooldridge Brubaker. She passed away peacefully on 20, 2016 at age 89. She graduated from Reagan High School in 1943, attended the University of Houston and Lillie Jolly School of . She married her high school sweetheart, Bill W. Klotz on 31, 1945 at Gowen Field, Boise, Idaho, during WWI I and were happily married 71 years. Dorothy was a seamstress, gardener, loved music and reading; she enjoyed traveling with friends and family, and she was grateful to have had the privilege of visiting all seven continents. She was an active member of Tallowood Baptist Church and loved her church, her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly. She and Bill were blessed with five wonderful children: Lynda King and husband Allen, Mary Lou McClung and husband Hugh, D. Wayne Klotz and wife Karen, Kay Struzick and husband Gary, William (Bill) L. Klotz. There are fifteen grandchildren: Steve King and wife Melissa, Suzy Vocal, Jeff McClung, Mindy Dillingham and husband Matthew, Mike McClung and wife Cassie, Kaytie Johnston, David Klotz and wife Brandy, Brad Klotz and wife Kristie, Valerie Millard and husband Jon, Danny Struzick and wife Lauren, Kyle Struzick and wife Stephanie, Bobby Struzick, Bryan Klotz and wife Brittany, Barry Klotz, and Drew Klotz .There are also twenty-two great-grandchildren who have brought them much joy. She is also survived by sister-in-law Shirley Brubaker, niece and nephew and many cousins and predeceased by brother W.A. (Bill) Brubaker. Memorial service will be held at Tallowood Baptist Church, 555 Tallowood Dr., Houston, Texas on 23rd at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be sent to Boys and Girls Country, Hockley, Texas. |
