Obituary: Deluvina (Vinnie) Pacheco Klag, 95, passed away on , 10, 2015. She was born on 6, 1920 in Mosquero, New Mexico to Andres and Remijia (Montoya) Pacheco. retiring from a successful career in retail sales, she spent her time enjoying reading, baking, traveling, taking long walks and spending time with family and friends. Vinnie was predeceased by her late husband Solon Constantine Nicholson (1963) and the late Ralph E. Klag (2000), her parents, her two brothers and five sisters. She is survived by her son Solon William Nicholson and his wife Cecilia; daughter Rebecca Tillotson and her husband James; son Paul Nicholson and his wife Cynthia; 10 grandchildren; Bill, Yvonne, Jason, Eric, Ryan, Kate, Amanda, Christopher, Levi, and Tiffany; 10 great-grandchildren; and loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Obituary: Ivie Milton Klaeveman, age 91, passed away 26, 2008. He was born 23, 1917 in Freyburg, Texas the youngest child of Herman A. Klaeveman and his wife, Minnie Jochen Klaeveman. He was baptized in the Freyburg Methodist Church on 2, 1918. In 1922 he moved with his parents to Schulenberg, Texas, and in 1924 to San Antonio, Texas. his mothers death in 1925 his father moved the family to Nordheim, Texas. Here Ivie attended school and graduated from Nordheim High School in 1935. He was interested in baseball and played with the Nordheim Tigers Baseball Club and the Yorktown Indians and will be remembered as a star shortstop. He also participated in many Firemens Races popular in the 1930s. In 1941 Ivie received a BBA degree in Accounting from the University of Texas in Austin. He was a member of Beta Alpha Psi, a national Honorary Accounting Fraternity. He married Inez Lee Stuermer, his high school sweetheart, of Nordheim, 12, 1941 at the St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Yorktown, Texas. In 1942 Ivie was called to serve in the United States Army Medical Corp as a Medical Laboratory Technician during World War II. He was stationed in Abilene, Texas and El Paso, Texas, and the New Guinea and the Philippine Islands until the end of war. He, his wife and baby son returned to San Antonio where he was employed by Slavik & Slavik, Certified Public Accountants. He attended St. Marys University, San Antonio, Texas and on 23, 1950 passed the State Board exam to become a Certified Public Accountant. He was employed in numerous accounting positions, retiring in 1982. On 3, 2000 Ivie was honored by the State Board of Accountancy in acknowledgment of 50 years. He was a member of Texas Society of C.P.A.s, and American Legion Alamo Chapter, Post 2., Night Bible Study, and Agape Supper Group. Ivie was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church, San Antonio, Texas. He has been a member of Shepherd King Lutheran Church since 1965 and has served his church as an usher, a member of the Budget Committee, the Audit Committee, the Boy Scout Committee, Finance Committee and has counted weekly offerings for many years. He was also a member of the Shepherd King Retired Mens Breakfast Group. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and a loyal and true friend. A gentleman who enjoyed his home and loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren-each one was very special to him. He enjoyed gardening, reading, and sports. retirement in 1982 he and Inez enjoyed traveling. He was preceded in death by his father, H.A. Klaeveman; his mother, Minnie Jochen Klaeveman; step-mother, Lillie Schlosser Klaeveman; sister, Sylvie Klaeveman; brother, Lester H. Klaeveman; granddaughter, Leslie Klaeveman. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Inez L. Klaeveman, San Antonio, Texas; son, Ivie James Jim Klaeveman and wife, Melody, Seguin, Texas; daughter, Jane Collette Beneke and husband, Ron, Dallas, Texas; step-granddaughter, Sky Mulkey Benjamin Guffey; granddaughters, Ivy Oliver Patrick; Carli Klaeveman, Dallas, Texas; grandsons, Brian Beneke, Mark Beneke, Alex Beneke, Dallas, Texas; great-granddaughter, Felicia Guffey; grand-grandson, Mason Oliver; a niece; a nephew and many other dear relatives and friends. Obituary: KLAERNER Curtis Maurice Klaerner, age 93, died peacefully on , Sept. 22, 2013. He was born Sept. 7, 1920 in Fredericksburg, TX to Elgin and Irene Wagner Klaerner. In 1923 the family moved to San Antonio. He graduated from Brackenridge High School in 1938 and The University of Texas in 1942 (B.S. in Chemical Engineering) and attended MITs Business Management program. In 1983 Curtis was recognized by UTs of Engineering as one of four Distinguished Engineering Graduates. In 1942 he began a 37-year career in the oil business, starting at the Magnolia refinery in Beaumont, TX as chief process engineer. Twelve years later Curtis took over as manager of Mobils Buffalo, NY refinery. In 1956 he moved to the New York headquarters of Mobil as manager of manufacturing for the eastern US. Next Curtis entered the companys international division, first as regional vice president of Europe headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland and then six years as president of the international division. Returning to the headquarters in New York he was executive vice president and served on the Board of Directors. retiring from Mobil, Curtis moved back to San Antonio and became president and chief operating officer of the Commonwealth Oil Refining. He later served as President of the Board of Directors of Intermaritime Consortium in Geneva, as well as the Belgian Refining Co. of Antwerp, and the West Indies Oil Co. in Antigua. He formerly belonged to Oak Hills Country Club, Petroleum Club, Town and Country Optimist Club, the Revelers, Lamplighters, Los Alegradores, and the Exchange Club. Curtis was a member of St. Lukes Episcopal Church. He enjoyed golf and bridge, and was an avid world traveler. Having visited 106 countries Curtis belonged to the Circumnavigators Club. Curtis was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Aileen Eitt Klaerner. He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Jean Lockhart Klaerner; daughter Dr. Sherilyn Allen, Boyertown, PA, and her husband James Yarmush; son Curtis Elgin Klaerner, San Antonio, and his wife Bonnie Bryant Klaerner; stepdaughter Sandra Joseph Bieri, Austin, TX and her husband Dr. James Bieri; and stepson John Joseph, San Antonio. His five grandchildren include Dr. Lisa Allen, Tyler, TX; Beau James Yarmush, Boyertown, PA; Justin Yarmush, Fishkill, NY; Lauren Klaerner Izzo, Fort Worth, TX; and Kevin Klaerner, San Antonio. Two great-grandchildren survive. Private services will be held at Sunset Memorial Park. Rev. David Read of St. Lukes Episcopal Church will preside. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Curtis life at the San Antonio Country Club on , Sept. 26th from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Obituary: Klaczak, Dorothy Grace Queen Life-long resident of Dallas, Texas, died peacefully at her home on May 15, 2015 surrounded by loved ones. Dorothy was born on 13, 1916 and was an only child of Denzil and Bertha Queen. She graduated from Sunset High School at the age of 16 and was an elected member of the National Honor Society. Dorothy was a gifted pianist who studied under Mrs. Julius Albert Jahn. She performed in the Crystal Ballroom of the Baker Hotel along with the Schubert Choral Club prior to graduation. She married her one and only love, Frank M. Klaczak on 23, 1938. Their most memorable moments together were spent square dancing with the First Knighter's. She spent her life teaching in parochial schools, both music and education, and was the Organist for her church. Dorothy was also involved in numerous organizations including serving as President of the Dallas Federation of Women's Clubs and was also President of the Texas State Association of Parliamentarians (Dallas Division). She served as District Deputy of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and was responsible for planning a State Convention. Dorothy also held many offices in the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority including President of her Chapter, Laureate Gamma Alpha (1987-1988). She was voted Woman of the Year in 1988 and Sweetheart of her Chapter in 1991. Dorothy was an extremely strong woman and the core of our family that she loved so deeply. She is survived by her son, Frank Klaczak, Jr. and wife, Barbara, of Bedford, TX; daughter, Nancy Freeman, of Rowlett, TX; three granddaughters, Kim Wigley and husband, Mike, of Wolfe City, TX; Lory Simmons and husband, Scot, of Ruston, LA; Dawn Vega and husband, Tony, of Wylie, TX; eight great-grandchildren, Brandi Davenport and husband, Jarrod; Dalton and Cheyenne Wigley; Reid and Pearce Simmons; Dani, Makenzie and Alex Vega and three great-great grandchildren, Dalton Davenport, Kailyn and Austin Freeman. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father, "Judge" Quentin D. Corley and her husband.
