Obituary: Beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Hazel Hixson Kell went to be with Jesus on 16 2004, the birthday of her husband who preceded her in death. She was born to James Elbert Hixson and Annie Canella Hixson on 29 1910 in Alexandria, Louisiana. She was reared in San Antonio, Texas attending Brackenridge High School. Her real loves in life were her husband, her children, her grandchildren, her great grandchildren, and First Baptist Church. She met her husband at Baptist Young PeopleÂs Union at First Baptist. Over the years, she served in many positions at the church. During the Korean War she was the head of the young peopleÂs school department, ministering to many young people who were going through training at local military bases on the way to Korea. Later, for several years, she was the volunteer manager of the church kitchen and food service, a massive job that she did with ease. In her eighties she worked in the church office, assisting on the computer with the church financial business. Her entire life she loved being with the Âgirls at School. She tirelessly went to movies with her grandchildren, often many times. Her grandchildren believe she holds the modern record for seeing ÂHerbie Goes Bananas twelve times. She was always there to help her children, always supportive in difficult times. Her energy and efficiency at accomplishing things was legendary. She is survived by her daughter, Aimee Kell Foulds and her husband, Emmett Foulds; her two sons, John Kell, Jr. and his wife, Margaret Urschel and Carroll Kell and his wife, Kathleen; 8 grandchildren, Greg Foulds, Jennifer Kell, Michael Foulds, John Urschel, Jeremy Kell, Elizabeth Urschel, Scott Kell and Chris Foulds; three great granddaughters, Zita, Kate, and Alexandra and three great grandsons, Aidan, Owen, and Hunter.
