Obituary: Otis Birdine Kindle, 88, went to sleep in the arms of Jesus, his Lord that he loved very much, on (May 16, 2016). Otis was born on 10, 1927 in Kingsport, TN. Otis was a hardworking man, spending his youth in the Navy and the years following working at Mead Corporation for 45 years. Otis was a member of Mt. Vernon Independent Methodist Church. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #688. Otis was many things to many people. He was a loving husband to his wife of 62 years, he was a perfect father to his children, and he was the best Papaw that his grandchildren could ask for. Otis was loved unconditionally and his loss leaves a hole in the hearts of those he left behind that can never be filled. Though he will be missed, his life will forever be celebrated by those he loved. Otis was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ruth Steadman Kindle; son, Richard Hey Dad Kindle; mother, Edith Miller Kindle; father, Carlin Draper Kindle; sister, Nadine Lee; and brothers, C.D., Broadus, and Dallas Kindle. Otis is survived by his daughter, Lesa Renner & husband Charles; daughter-in-law, Kim Kindle; six grandchildren, Darby Kindle & wife Falecia, Holly Kindle, Dustin Kindle & wife Shannon, Aaron Wild & fiancée Mandi, Britny Renner, and Ash Renner; five great-grandchildren, Austin Cunningham, Breanna Kindle, Savanah Kindle, Emerson Kindle, and Koen Kindle; special extended family, Charles Renner & wife Annie, Bobby Greene & wife Darlene and boys, and Mike Dean & wife Angie; special brother-in-law, Grady Lee; niece Kim Dorton; nephew, David Lee; and his church family whom he loved very much. The family will receive friends on (May 18, 2016) from 5 to 7 p.m. at East Lawn . services will immediately follow at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of East Lawn with Pastors Ron Barker, Grady Lee, and Richard Fleming officiating. Committal services will be held (May 19, 2016) at 11:00 a.m. in the Garden of Good Shepherd at East Lawn Memorial Park with military rites provided by American Legion 3/265. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Clay Hill and the late Margaret Musette Hill .She was a former LPN at Parkview Hospital, former employee of Colonial Rubber and a member of Beauty Hill Pentecostal Church in Bethel Springs, Tennessee. services will be 1:00 PM, , 11, 2016, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams . Officiating this service will be Rev. John Climer. Interment will follow in Fairview in Newbern,Tennessee Visitation will be , 10, 2016, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Johnson-Williams . Obituary: Kindig, Leonard Lawrence, age 88, of Nashville, passed away 7th, 2012. Len was the youngest son of Velma May Cunningham and Harley Leroy Kindig of Evergreen, AL . Preceded in death by wife of 64 years, Juanita Sullivan Kindig, four brothers and three sisters. He is survived by daughters, Carol K. Waugh, Nancy (Kirk) Scobey and son Leonard, Jr. (Gayle), all of Brentwood. Also survived by grandchildren, Chris Buchanan, Leslie (Bruce) Prow of Nashville, 4 grandchildren by marriage, 9 great-grand children by marriage, brother Sheldon Kindig, four sisters and a host of nieces and nephews. He served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific during WWII and was a member of the Honor Guard. In 1982 Len retired from Sealtest Foods after 30+ years. He enjoyed travel, boating and fishing. Visitation with family will be Oct. 9 from 5-7 PM at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton . A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30AM with visitation 1 hour prior at Woodlawn's Dignity Hall. Interment immediately following at Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crievewood Baptist Church or charity of choice. |

Obituary: Margie Lee Kinder, of Whitesburg, went to be with the Lord on , May 17, 2015 at the age of 80. She was surrounded by family and friends. Margie made preparations for this day many years ago. She was a member of Friendly View Baptist Church and sung for several years with the Friendly Four Quartet. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ulys Kinder; parents, Esmer and Lilly Willis; sister, Laura May Fugate; and brothers, Dallas Willis and Harold Lane. She is survived by her sons, Esmer (Judy) Gibbs and Kenneth Kinder of Whitesburg; daughters, Lois (Randy) Miller and Beverly (Greg) Wilson of Whitesburg. Margie was a very loving grandmother of seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She also is survived by two brothers, Junior Willis and Larry Lane; three sisters, Jean Church, Dottie Sawyer and Marie Johnson of Ohio; a host of nieces and nephews; and a special friend, John Borman. services will be held in the chapel of Stubblefield on , May 19th at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Steve Davis and Rev. Terry Greene officiating. Family and friends will meet in Hamblen Memory Gardens on at 10:45 a.m. for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service.
