Obituary: Shirley Joan Kolp Key, 73, passed away on 13, 2011, following a long illness. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, William R Key. Shirley graduated from Lausanne School for Girls in 1956. She was the Livestock Director of the MidSouth Fair for over 30 years. retirement, Shirley enjoyed volunteering at the Pink Palace. Survivors include one daughter, Lisa Kolp Key; two sons, William Carroll Key and Kevin Patrick (Kim) Key; and seven grandchildren: Jennifer Key, Andy Key, Katy Key, Molly Key, Ally Key, Avery Key, and Bryant Cater. Additional surviving family members include two sisters, Betty Lou Kolp Peck (Pat) and Patricia Kolp Kile (Phil), as well as numerous nephews and nieces. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Memphis and Memorial Gardens, 5599 Poplar Avenue. Services will be at 12:00 p.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 5296 Park Avenue. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Midtown. Memorial donations can be made to Youth Villages INC. under the direction of Memphis and Memorial Gardens, Memphis, TN. |

Obituary: Roy Cleatus Key, 74, of Cox Road, Greeneville, passed away , 12, 2016, at Laughlin Memorial Hospital. He retired from Summers-Taylor Inc., where he was the roller man. Mr. Key was a member of Hardins Chapel United Methodist Church and Hardins Chapel Ruritan Club. Survivors include his wife of 54 years: Lucille Manis Key; son: Leroy Key and Barbie Graham; daughter and son-in-law: Debbie and Doug Cogburn; grandchildren: Jessica Hope, Lillie Cowles and husband, Stewart, Lydia Cogburn, Sarah Key and Cameron Key; great grandchildren: Kathryn and Susan Hope; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Kenneth and Kathy Manis, Tommy and Geraldine Manis, George and Betsy Manis, Louise Manis, Betty Cox, and Betty Ragsdale; and several special nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Charlie William and Bertie Starnes Key and was preceded in death by three brothers: James, Luther, and Charlie Denton Key; and two sisters, Loraine Taylor and Louise Taylor. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Kiser-Rose Hill . The funeral service will be held at 2 pm , 15, 2016 in the funeral home chapel with Wade McAmis, Rev. Bill Hughes, and Rev. Oscar McAmis officiating. Interment will follow in Cross Anchor . Pallbearers will be his nephews. Honorary Pallbearers are the members of Hardins Chapel Ruritan Club, Adult Bible Class of Hardins Chapel UM Church, employees of Summers -Taylor Inc., and his bowling friends.
