Obituary: Tahlequah, OK- services for John Avrohm Ave Ketcher will be held on , 2nd, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Reed-Culver Chapel with Father Jeff Polasek of St. Brigid Church officiating and Pastor Charles Duvall assisting. Visitation will take place on , 1st, 2012, from noon until 8:00 PM at Reed-Culver. Interment will follow at Manes . Services have been entrusted to Reed-Culver of Tahlequah. John Avrohm Ketcher, or Ave to his family and friends, was born on 17th, 1976 in Pocatello, ID, the son of John Allen and Sandra Coleen (Clark) Ketcher. Ave graduated with his associates degree from Montgomery Junior in Maryland. Ave worked for Quiznos as a Manager. When he wasn working, Ave loved to spend his time practicing karate. He absolutely loved music. He played guitar, wrote music and was a member of a band in Maryland. Ave possessed a wry sense of humor and had a keen sense of fun, sharpening wits with anyone that was willing. Beneath it all was a teddy bear, big of heart and sweet in disposition. He had a smile that made anyone feel easy. A Catholic by faith, Ave attended St. Peter and Paul Church in Cushing, OK. Ave was called to his heavenly home on , 24th, 2012 in Tulsa, OK. He was 35 years old. Ave will be greatly missed by his family and friends for the laughter he shared and the love he gave. Those left to cherish Aves memory include his mother, Sandra Ketcher of Welling, OK, and his father, John Ketcher of Tahlequah. He also leaves one half brother, Erin Ketcher of Tahlequqh and one half sister, Andrea Ketcher also of Tahlequah,OK. Obituary: Billy Joe Ketcher was born in Stilwell, OK on 24, 1935 and passed away 20, 2017 at the age of 82. He graduated from Stilwell High School in 1953, served in the United States Air Force from 1953-1957, graduated with a Business Administration Degree from Northeastern State in 1961. college, he worked at Tinker Air Force Base in the Accounting and Finance Division from 1961 until he retired in 1988. Bill coached both of his sons for several years in little league baseball and served as Baseball Coordinator for Cleveland Bailey Elementary in Midwest City. While coaching, he had the pleasure of watching his team win two OK Kids State Championships. He was a sports fan his entire life and especially enjoyed the Oklahoma Sooners football team. He was a Sooners football season ticket holder since 1967 and he and his wife, Jeannie, attended the 2000 Orange Bowl the night the Sooners won the National Championship. Bill was a member of Del City Church of Christ where he served as a deacon and was the Chairman of the Missions Committee for over 25 years. He also served on the Budget Committee for several years. He was leader of a night small group for nearly 20 years. Bill prepared income taxes for many of the widows of the church. He delivered meals for the church Meals on Wheels Program for over 15 years. He was also a member of Association of Government Accountants and the National Active & Retired Federal Employees Association. Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was a model family man whom was depended upon and will be sorrowfully missed by his loved ones. He was a generous and compassionate friend and mentor to many. He is survived by two sons, Dr. Greg Ketcher and wife, Kim of Lawton, OK, Keith Ketcher and wife, Gina of Sacramento, CA, a daughter, Gina Landers and her husband, Greg of Edmond, OK, 7 grandchildren, Brian Ketcher and his wife, Megan, Jace McLeod, Clayton and Sam Ketcher, Kierston Anderson and her husband, Graham, Cody and Macy Landers, and 3 great-grandchildren, Peyton Bolt, Alexander Ketcher and Austin Anderson. He is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Wanda Hatfield, five nieces and one nephew. Bill was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Jessie Ketcher; loving wife, Frances Jeannie Ketcher; two sisters, Lorena Padgett and Elsie Dudley; brother, Raymond Ketcher; grandson, Cole Gregory Landers and a nephew, Jimmy Ray Padgett. Services will be 23rd at 10:00 a.m. at Del City Church of Christ, 1901 Vickie Drive, Del City, OK. The family will be receiving guests from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on 22nd at Bill Eisenhour Southeast . Interment will be at Arlington Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Missions Program at the Del City Church of Christ. |
