Obituary: Bonnie Kindinger, age 70, passed away at Tuscany Gardens on 17, 2012. Bonnie was a retired Columbus City School teacher. She was an active member of the Stonybrook Methodist Church and sang in the church choir for many years. She is preceded in death by her first husband William with whom she had her only child Chaureen (Walsh) and her second husband Paul Kindinger. She is survived by her daughter Chaureen (Steve) Walsh, granddaughters: Morgan and Lyndsay Walsh, her brothers: Bill (Cindy) Broughman and Danny (Cricket) Broughman, and her sister Juanita Broughman. Her family wishes to thank the staff of Tuscany Gardens Facility (Pataskala) for the fine care and comfort that they provided Bonnie. Obituary: Harriette Kindig, daughter of Hays and Susie Weaver, passed away 11, 2015 at Saybrook Landing amid those whom she loved best. She was born 16, 1920 and married her high school sweetheart, Robert Kindig, on 18, 1942. She graduated from Platt R. Spencer High School and attended Dyke Business in Cleveland. She was head bookkeeper for Lake Erie Milling , and did the bookkeeping for the Madison Country Club before she and Bob opened the Robert Kindig Excavating and Building Supply in the early fifties. Her part in the company included keeping all the books as well as customer service which often meant loading tile and block. She drew the line at cement bags and squares of shingles. She was a member of the Geneva Methodist Church where she taught School for many years, Zonta, and the Progressive Literary Club of Geneva. She was one of the exceptional women of the Greatest Generation, growing to maturity in the Great Depression and World War II, gaining strength from adversity, determination from a cause, and imagination from necessity. Her dark brown eyes flashed with character and love. Those who knew her, knew her keen intelligence, quick wit, and active mind. In her late fifties, she took up oil painting and in her sixties she took computer classes. She helped with the scoring records for the Geneva Science Fair for many years, using her remarkable math skills and her new computer knowledge. A skilled seamstress and knitter, she made most clothes and sweaters for the family as well as creating masterful crafts for church bazaars and home décor. Her fastidious housekeeping led her friends to try the white glove test on her house cleaning. She always passed. Yet, her house always welcomed life and its messiness. As a mother, she was a gift from God, loving and encouraging, supporting in joys, sorrows and just plain living. At the age of 69, she and Bob took on the job of day care for a newborn grandson, with great love and vigor. Grandpa taught him tractors and Grandma acted as scribe to his extensive stories. The bond between grandson and grandparents was deep and joyful. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 61 years, Robert Kindig, a brother, Berchard (Helen) Weaver, sisters Florence Tucker, Vera Kelly, Cora Shinaberry, Susan Cook, Lucile Walter and Donna Weaver. She is survived by daughter, Harriette Hydinger; special son-in-law, Gary Hydinger; beloved grandson, Greylyn Hydinger and his brand new bride, Kristen Hydinger; niece, Nancy (Robert) Sintic; and many other nieces and nephews. Private family burial was held at Mt. Pleasant in Geneva. A memorial service to celebrate Harrietts life will be announced by the family at a later date. The family wishes to thank the staff of Saybrook Landing as well as the hands-on-staffs of Harbor Light Hospice and Geneva Shores for the love and care they gave her.
