Obituary: Mina Lou Hepler Kinder, 76, of Hamptonville died , 5, 2011, at Gordon Hospice House. She was born 1, 1934, in Iredell and was the daughter of the late Pete and Dottie Trivette Hepler. For many years, she was owner and operator of Harmony Cafeteria and later Minas Corner Kitchen until her retirement. She enjoyed traveling while her health permitted, working in her flower garden, and bargain shopping. She especially enjoy playing bingo and will long be remembered as a good cook. On 24, 1964, she married Robert Kinder who preceded her in death on 30, 1999. She was also preceded in death by a brother, James McKinley Hepler; and two sisters, Ina Snow and Florence York. Mina is survived by a sister, Susie Macon of Ramseur; two step-daughters, Sue Gobble of Mocksville and Katie Barker of Statesville; and six step-grandsons. She is also survived by many friends and family members including several nieces and nephews and cherished family friends, Kenneth and Sadie Hansel of Union Grove who lifted Minas spirit daily with their phone calls. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM , 7, 2011, in the Ernest Troutman Memorial Chapel of Reavis in Harmony. Graveside funeral services will follow the receiving at 11:00 AM at Harmony . Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.reavisfuneralhomeharmony.com.
