Obituary: George L. Kartsonis was born 29, 1922 and passed away 3, 2013. He was the second oldest of four boys born to Louis A. and Anna Kartsonis. He graduated from Central High School, Kansas City, Missouri in 1938 and Lathrop Polytechnic in 1941. George served in the U.S. Army as a Tech Sergeant in Telecommunications during World War II and was a recent honoree on an Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. George married (Jessie) Edith McKee on 17, 1948 at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, Kansas City, Missouri. He was a devoted husband, father, Popouli and great-Popou George was the son of the founder of Superior Laundry and Linen Service and devoted his career to building the business with his brothers Paul and Ernest. He was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Kansas City, Missouri and served as a member of the Church board for several terms. He and Edith enjoyed participating in the VIP group at the Church. George served the community of Lake Winnebago for over 30 years during the time it was a Village and later transitioned to City status. He was chair of the Planning and Zoning Board when the zoning ordinances for the City of Lake Winnebago were written. He also served as a member of the Police and Fire Commissions. George was honored as Lake Winnebagos Man of the Year by the Missouri Municipal League in 1990. He loved fishing and being around the water. He always said he was thrilled the good Lord provided him with the means to have a nice home near the water and the ability to enjoy it with his family. moving to John Knox Village in 2000, he enjoyed his s at the Hobby Hut. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America as a youth and later as an adult leader. He was an Honorary Warrior in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Paul, John and Ernest, and great-grandson Kyle Anthony Lillis. George is survived by his wife, Edith; daughter Carol Lillis (Jim), son Bill Kartsonis (Jan) and son Greg Kartsonis, all of Lake Winnebago. He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Katie Lillis of Miami Beach, FL, Kyle Lillis (Krista) of Boston, MA; Matthew Kartsonis of Kansas City, David Kartsonis (Georgia) of Kansas City; Blair Lillis (Jessica) of Lake Winnebago, Michael Kartsonis of Overland Park and Alex Kartsonis (Abby) of Lees Summit; great-grandsons Emmanuel Llorente and Corrigan Corey James Lillis; and great-granddaughter Maria Kartsonis and two great grandchildren soon to arrive. George also leaves behind sisters-in-law Stella Kartsonis of Kansas City, Mary Kartsonis of San Diego, California along with Ediths sisters and brother, their spouses and children. Ernie was born May 24, 1930 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the son of Louis A. Kartsonis and Anna Ziverk and the youngest of 4 children. He married Stella Kallos on 6, 1959. Ernie graduated from Rockhurst University with a degree in business and accounting. He served in the army during the Korean Conflict. Ernie worked in the family business, Superior Laundry and Linen , now in the 3rd and 4th generation of ownership, until his retirement. recuperating from cancer, he volunteered at the Bloch Cancer Hotline to encourage other patients struggling to recover. He also volunteered at the Toy and Miniature Museum which he referred to as his play day and a return to childhood. Ernie was an accomplished pianist and organist and sang in the church choir as well as playing the organ for services and weddings. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather and often told people, Grandchildren are the best presents a person could have. He adored all of them. Ernies wonderful sense of humor and dry wit will be greatly missed. He was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church all of his life. He particularly enjoyed participating in the churchs Greek Festival every . Obituary: David William Kartsonis, 33, died in his home in Brookside early morning, 10, 2015. David was born 8, 1981 in Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated from Lees Summit High School in 1999 and the University of Central Missouri in 2004, after which he joined his family as part of the fourth generation at Superior Linen Supply. Together with his brother Matt they grew the business acquiring Medical Laundry Service and Mr. Mat. David is a Certified Professional Laundry Manager, an Eagle Scout and Warrior in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and making them smile. David met the love of his life, Georgia Velis in 2002 as Counselors at Camp Emmanuel Greek Orthodox Youth Camp in Wyoming. continued a long distance relationship till 23, 2007 when they married at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Dallas, Texas.
