Obituary: Walter Kemp, age 100, died , May 15, 2015 at his home in Warren, Michigan, surrounded by his loving family. Walter was born 22, 1915 in Lee, Pennsylvania, son of the late Ignatz Kempinski and the late Katherine (nee: Sudol) Kempinski. Walter was raised in Pennsylvania and later worked in the coal mines until other employment opportunities arose with work in Michigan. Walter moved to Detroit, Michigan in 1935 and found work within the tool and die industry. In addition to his work, he also served in the Civilian Conservation Corps. While going on a blind date, Walter met the love of his life, Marguerite Custer and the two would eventually join in holy matrimony in 1942. However, the honeymoon did not last long as World War II was still brewing and Uncle Sam called Walter to serve. He entered his Naval service 2, 1943 and served aboard the USS Cooper eventually attaining the rank of Machinist Mate 3rd Class. With Americas victory in World War II and his honorable discharge in hand, Walter returned to Detroit, his dear wife, and continued his career as a Tool & Die maker. Walter was a gifted hands on machinist and Tool & Die maker who could achieve any task put before him. He worked and retired from Tishken Products in Detroit after many faithful years of service. Walter was truly part of the greatest generation of Americans who chose to put their family, faith, and country above everything. He was loved by all of whom he met, and respected further by those with whom he worked and played. During his younger years, Walter enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a champion at Euchre, and cherished the card playing nights with family and friends. He will forever be remembered as a kind & gentle giant who loved his family and country. Walter was the beloved husband of the late Marguerite, and the dear father of Kay (Don) Stone, Karen (Mike) Connell, Patty Heyl, Janet (Marty) Lutz, and the late Gary Kemp. Father in-law of Lynn Kemp, and loving grandfather of Kim (Rory) Willing, Mike (Jen) Stone, Matt (Amy) Stone, Chris Stone, Rick (Colleen) Maris, Chad Kemp, Mark (Keri) Maris, Bob Heyl, Tim Heyl, Kristie Kemp, Kelly (Ron) Conley, Danny Heyl, Loretta Connell, and the late Jeff Kemp. Cherished great-grandfather of Samantha Willing, Michial Connell, Alexis Stone, Connor Stone, Giselle Stone, Merrick Maris, Miles Marris, Coleton Maris, Marissa Maris, Tiffany Maris, Ashlee Maris, Jayden Kemp, and Jordan Kemp. Visitation for Mr. Kemp will be held , May 18th from 3-9pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons , 30009 Hoover Rd. at Common (12 1/2 mile) in Warren. Services will be held , 11am at the . Obituary: Ronald E. Kemp, Jr. was born 6, 1963 in Lansing, Michigan to Ronald and Karol Kemp. He passed away 16, 2016 at the age of 52 following a month long stay at McLaren ICU. Ronald is survived by his wife, Melinda Kay Kemp, his two beautiful daughters who were the loves of his life, Kendra Michelle Kemp & Karla Sue Kemp. He also leaves behind his loving mother, Karol Sue Ball to cherish his memory; father, Ronald Edward Kemp, Sr.; brother, Todd William Kemp and a wonderful extended family. Ron graduated from Haslett High School. He took classes at Lansing Community and obtained a criminal justice certificate. He worked as a corrections officer for the State of Michigan for 20 years. Ron enjoyed the great outdoors and camping with his family. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, grilling, snowmobiling, gardening, golfing and time spent with family at the cottage on Lake 13. In addition Ron was a huge Spartan fan. He never did find out they lost in the first round. A memorial service will be held 5pm, , 20th, at the Gorsline Runciman s, 621 S. Jefferson St., Mason with Rev. A. Trevor Sutton officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Rons daughters college education, Kendra is a nursing student at Northern Michigan University and Karla is an engineering student at Kettering University.
