Obituary: Kantola, Alice Jane (Turner), age 81 rejoined her husband in heaven on 27, 2014. Jane was born in Lowell, MI 26, 1933 to Jerome and Vivian Turner and grew up in Lowell, Grand Rapids and Muskegon where she attended Muskegon Heights High School. In 1950 she married Kenneth Andrew Kantola. She is the sister of Jean DePoy and Geri Cook, whom both preceded her. Jane was married for 63 years to Kenneth who preceded her in 2013. She is survived by her 5 children \ Barbara Kantola \ Muskegon, Kay (Ken) Knowles \ Grand Blanc, MI, Kenn (Denise) Kantola \ Ballwin, MO, Kevin (Beth) Kantola \ Muskegon and Tim Kantola \ Muskegon, 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Jane sold Tupperware to finance her way through nursing school and went on to work at Muskegon General Hospital. With her husband and family, she was actively involved at Evanston Avenue Baptist Church as a teacher and childrens worship leader. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on , 1, 2014 at Evanston Avenue Baptist Church. The family will receive visitors on , 31, 2014 from 3:00pm until 6:00pm at Ever Rest & Chapel (1783 E. Keating Ave., Muskegon) and one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00am at the church. Obituary: William Edward Bill Kanthack, age 50, of Kalamazoo passed away afternoon, 9, 2021 at Bronson Methodist Hospital after a long fought battle with Cancer. He was born in Port Huron, Michigan at Mercy Hospital on 21, 1970, the son of Steve and Glazier Gay (Weakland) Kanthack. Bill served in the United States Navy and then worked as a CDL Truck Driver for more than 20 years. For the past four years, Bill has owned & operated WK Services, a landscaping company in Kalamazoo. Bill is survived by his daughter, Cierra Kanthack of Battle Creek; his grandson, Chevy Shaffer of Battle Creek; his parents, Steve (Priscilla) Kanthack of Bothell, WA and Glazier Gay Kanthack of Battle Creek; two brothers, Michael Kanthack of Bothell, WA and Bryan Kanthack of San Diego, CA; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews. He was sadly preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Kanthack in 1997. A true outdoorsman and auto enthusiast, Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking & of course smoking foods, and driving. He also truly loved his dogs and spending time with his family, especially his grandson, Chevy. Obituary: Kansier, Claire D., age 85 of Eastpointe, went home to be with the Lord on 28, 2015. He joins his parents, Agnes and William. Beloved husband of Marion for 56 years. Loving father of Leah Simonsen. Wonderful grandfather of Kaitlyn, Stacia and Jamison. Dear brother of Dolores (William) Standbridge, the late Eleanor (Allan) Loding and Roger. Also survived by sister-in-law Cara, many nieces and nephews and Rodney Simonsen. Preceded in death by brother and sister-in-law Charles and Ruth Stapleton. Claire grew up on a farm in Richmond and proudly served his country in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a wood model maker for Fisher Body at the GM Tech and served many years as a trustee at St. Peters Lutheran Church overseeing the cemetery. He was the proud owner and driver of many American cars in his lifetime, including a 57 T-Bird which was sold upon his daughters birth, though he continued to carry the VIN in his wallet for the rest of his life. Claire valiantly fought a chronic condition that sent him routinely to the Mayo Clinic for 26 years and nearby hospitals this past year where he was a joy to his caregivers, nearly always giving them a reason to smile. Above all, he was a faithful man, entirely devoted to loving his wife, daughter, and his three grand daughters, in whom he took incredible pride and joy. Family will receive friends on 2-9PM at the A.H. Peters , 32000 Schoenherr at Masonic, Warren. Instate 10AM until time of service 11AM at St. Peters Lutheran Church, 23000 Gratiot Ave., Eastpointe.
