Obituary: Wilfred Willy Emmett King Milford-Wilfred Willy Emmett King, 49, passed away of squamous cell carcinoma at his home on evening, 21st. Willy was born in Bangor on 27, 1967, the son of James and Mary (Smith) King. Willy attended the Lewis S. Libby School in Milford, and graduated from Old Town High School in 1985. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Notre Dame University and his Master in Survey Engineering from the University of Maine, Orono in 1993. Willy married Thana Grant in 2000, and together they had four wonderful children: Thea (15), James (13), Dominic (10) and Emmett (6). Willy worked in Texas and Rockland before settling in his hometown of Milford, where he opened his own survey business; this was his greatest joy and achievement, second only to his beautiful family. Willy had lifelong association with the firefighter/paramedic family of the greater Bangor area, working at Old Town Fire Dept, Capital Ambulance, and as a Lieutenant at Milford Fire Dept. Willy possessed a special blend of kindness and warmth, and equally teamed with Thana, they gathered many friends into their welcoming friendship over the years. Willys life, and their life together, reflected a deep desire to love others well and without reservation. In addition to his wife and children, Willy is also survived by his parents, James and Mary King of Milford, a sister Elizabeth King-Howard and her husband Jason of Alpharetta, GA, mother-in-law, Gaye Grant of Old Town, and several special brothers and sisters-in-law, aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Willys cherished paramedic and firefighter family for attending to him around the clock in his final hours. Visiting hours will be 5-8 pm 27 at Birmingham , 438 Main St., Old Town. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10AM at Parish of the Resurrection, Holy Family Catholic Church, Old Town. Burial will follow at St. Joseph . The family respectfully asks that in lieu of flowers, family and friends consider donating to an educational fund set up for the children through Bangor Savings Bank 564 Stillwater Ave, Old Town, ME 04468. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home. |

Obituary: Waterville- Steve A. King, 57, passed away unexpectedly on 10, 2011 at his home. Steve was born in Waterville on 30, 1954; a son of Charles and Norma King. He graduated from Waterville High School Class of 1972; then joined the United States Air Force and served for Four Years. his military discharge Steve went on to further his education and became a college graduate earning his Bachelors Degree from University of Maine at a. Steve worked for many years at New Balance Shoe factory as a Resource Manager. Steve was a very loving and devoted father, grandfather, son and brother; as well as a very loyal and trustworthy friend. He enjoyed donating his time to the Boys and Girls Club. He was active in coaching his sons youth sports, an avid outdoorsman; greatly enjoying fishing, hunting and vegetable gardening. Steve also enjoyed his two loyal companions; yellow labs; Jaks and Tank. Steve is survived by his two loving children; daughter Jodi Namer and husband Nick, son; Kory King, two grandchildren; Kingston and Kali Namer, former wife of 33 years Alice King, his mother, Norma King, two sisters; Jan Welch and husband Rusty, Linda Mitchell and husband Norman, a brother, Mike King, his two best friends; Danny Proulx and Marc DeRocher, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Steve was predeceased by his father Charles L. King. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on , 16, 2011 at 11 am, with a luncheon to follow in the parish hall. A private burial will take place at a later date at the Maine Veterans Memorial .
