Obituary: Viola D. Kreider Cheyenne Wells, CO Viola D. Kreider, 89, of Cheyenne Wells, CO, and formerly of Des Moines passed away , 28, 2016 at her home in Cheyenne Wells. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. , 2, 2016, at Resthaven in West Des Moines. Visitation with the family will be from 12 noon until 1 p.m. at McLarens Chapel. Viola was born on 25, 1927, in Peru, IA, to Wesley and Ruby (Emerson) Deremiah. She graduated from North High School in Des Moines. Viola and Ray Kreider Jr. married 21, 1945, and lived in Des Moines until 1965. moved to Manitou Springs, CO and lived there until 1990, Mesa, AZ from 1990 to 2010, and St. Louis from 2011 to 2015. Viola lived at Cheyenne Manor in Cheyenne Wells, CO until her death. She was an active member of TTT and the Methodist Church. Viola was dedicated to her family and loved to travel. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Ray Kreider Jr. She is survived by two daughters, Judy (Jim) Baugus of Wildwood, MO and Charla Booker of Kit Carson, CO; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Obituary: Ray Kreider Jr., 84, of Fenton, MO. and formerly of Des Moines, passed away , 3, 2011 at his home in Fenton. and Masonic services will be 2 p.m. , 8, 2011 at McLarens Chapel in West Des Moines with military rites at Resthaven . Visitation with the family will be 6-8 p.m. at McLarens. Ray was born on 15, 1927 in Des Moines the son of Ray and Margaret (Robbins) Kreider. He graduated from Des Moines Tech and served in the US Navy from 1944 to 1946. The couple lived in Des Moines until 1965, Manitou Springs, CO from 1965 to 1990, Mesa, AZ from 1990 to 2010 and then Fenton, MO. He was a self employed motel owner. Ray was a member of Pioneer Masonic Lodge in Des Moines, Red Mountain Methodist Church, Mesa, a member of the Manitou Springs Volunteer Fire Department and the American Legion in all of the communities where he lived. He was dedicated to his family and helping those in need. Ray is survived by his wife of 66 years, Viola D. Kreider; two daughters; Judy (Jim) Baugus of Wildwood, MO, Charla Booker of Kit Carson, CO; 4 grandchildren, Jeff (Amy) Baugus, Mike (Jennifer) Baugus, Jason (Kristy) Booker and LouRae (Mitch) Rady; 10 great-grandchildren, Caden, Carissa, Abigail, Andrew and Brady Baugus, Cally, Payge and Shay Rady, Liberty and Justice Booker; two sisters Margie Gould and Betty Plumb and sister-in-law Dorothy Kreider all of Des Moines; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Obituary: Mabel Irene Krehbiel, 101, formerly of Donnellson, Iowa, passed away at 11.58 a.m. , 17, 2014 in Ames, Iowa. Born 24, 1913 in Wayland, Iowa the daughter of John and Nettie (Eicher) Schlatter. On 17, 1935 she married Donald Richard Krehbiel at the Eicher Mennonite Church in Wayland, Iowa. made their home in Donnellson, Iowa. From there they moved to Columbia, Missouri before moving to south Florida where they enjoyed thirty years. Following Dons death on 22, 2000, Mabel remained in Florida until her 90th birthday at which time she moved to San Antonio, Texas. In 2012 she moved to Story City, Iowa for the remainder of her life. Survivors include two daughters Marjorie Seymour and Margaret Kay (Jonathan) Buff, many nephews and nieces, great nephews and nieces, great great nephews and nieces, her three companions Jo, Susan and Karen and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Don and two brothers Glenn and Warren. Mabel was a member of the Zion Mennonite Church in Donnellson, Iowa. She enjoyed life to the fullest and was an inspiration to all who knew and loved her. Blessed be her memory. A Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. , 21, 2014 at the Zion Mennonite Church in Donnellson with Pastor Marcia Yoder Schrock officiating. Burial will be at the Zion Mennonite , rural Donnellson. Memorials may be made in her memory to the Zion Mennonite or Donnellson Library Fund. Suzanna Kay was born 30, 1950 in Sioux City, Iowa the daughter of John E. and Clara V. (Knudsen) White. She grew up in the Jackson, Nebraska area and graduated from South Sioux City High School in South Sioux City, Nebraska. Suzanna and Larry Kreger were united in marriage on 15, 1980 at the First Christian Church in Onawa, Iowa. Four children were born to this union, Larry Jr., Jeremy, Kirk, and Katie. Sue graduated from Tyler Beauty School in Sioux City, Iowa, and operated her own salon, Charisma Beauty Salon for seventeen years in Onawa, Iowa. For several years, Sue fixed hair at Elmwood Centre in Onawa, Iowa and Pleasant View in Whiting, Iowa and for many regular clients around this area. She also worked as a mail carrier for the United Postal Service for over ten years. Sue enjoyed tending to her yard and garden. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends, and loved any kind of get together. Sue was a kind person who took care of everybody and was always willing to help anyone. Sue was a member of the First Christian Church in Onawa, Iowa. Survivors include her husband of thirty-six years, Larry Kreger of Onawa, IA; three sons, Larry Jr. (Kelli) Kreger of Phoenix, AZ, Jeremy (Brooke) Kreger of Onawa, IA, and Kirk Kreger of Onawa, IA; one daughter, Katie (fiancé Pat Kelley) Kreger of Blencoe, IA; two grandchildren, Lauren Jones and Henley Kreger; two sisters, Jeanette (Don) Birkes and Carol Washburn; two brothers, Douglas (Pam) White and Steve White; two sisters-in-law, Sharon Adkins and Nancy (Leroy) Kepner; one brother-in-law, Chris (Theo) Kreger; aunts and uncles, Mary (Roy) Kress, Jeanne Polly, and Jim (Nancy) Tyson; and numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
