Obituary: Jan Kleinwolterink, age 54, of Ames, IA, passed away on , 25, 2017. A visitation will be held on , 28, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Stevens Memorial Chapel (607 28th St., Ames, IA 50010). A funeral service will be held on , 1, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Trinity Christian Reformed Church, and interment will follow services in the Gilbert . Jan was born on 10, 1962 in Sheldon, IA., the daughter of Alvin and Florence (Colshan) Mastbergen. She graduated from Melvin High School in 1980, and earned her Associates degree from DMACC in Boone in 1983. She married the love of her life Paul Kleinwolterink on 8, 1982. The couple was blessed with 4 children. Janet worked for the Gilbert Schools for 16 years, spending the last 10 years as a Secretary for the Gilbert Middle School. Jan had compassion for the students at Gilbert Middle School and enjoyed working with them. Jan enjoyed reading, visiting her children in Ames and Colorado, and quiet nights at home with Paul. Her passion was her family and she supported them in all of their activities. She was a loving and compassionate mother who will be remembered by those who knew her for her punctuality and sense of humor. Survivors include her husband; Paul, children; Megan (Oscar) Saldana and his son Oscar Jr., Cody (Rachel), Tyler, and Dylan, sisters; Sherry and Sue, brothers; John, and Alan (Charlotte), and many nieces and nephews. Obituary: Carl Kleinwolterink, age 76, of Hull, Iowa, passed away on , 18, 2015, at Lyon Manor and Rehab in Rock Rapids, Iowa. Services will be , 23, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at Doon United Reformed Church in Doon, Iowa. Rev. Simon Lievaart officiating. Burial to follow at the Hillside , in Doon, Iowa. Visitation will be , 22, from 1:00 to 6:00 P.M. with the family present from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. at the Andringa Sheldon Service in Sheldon, Iowa. Carl Dean Kleinwolterink was born on 24, 1938 in Orange City, Iowa. He was the son of Samuel and Jeanette (Lubbers) Kleinwolterink. He lived his youth on a farm north of Hull, Iowa, attended a country school, Hull Christian Grade School and Western Christian High School, where he graduated in 1956. He was united in marriage to Jeanette Fedders of Sioux , Iowa on 11, 1958 at the First Christian Reformed Church in Sioux . lived on the family farm north of Hull, where Carl farmed until 2014, when he became ill. Carl was a member of United Reformed Church in Doon, Iowa. Carl and Jeanette enjoyed motorcycle trips to Sturgis, SD for many summers. When Carl was younger he enjoyed hunting, fishing and trap shooting. He trophied in the Amateur Trapshooting Association in Ohio. In his later years he enjoyed shooting starlings with his target rifle. He also enjoyed being around his friends and family, and having coffee at the Corner Café in Doon. He passed away on , 18, 2015 at Lyon Manor and Rehab in Rock Rapids, Iowa. Those left to cherish his memories are his wife: Jeanette Kleinwolterink of Rock Rapids, IA; two sons and daughters-in-law: Paul and Jan Kleinwolterink of Gilbert, IA and their children, Megan, Cody, Tyler and Dylan; Todd and Anita Kleinwolterink of Sioux , IA and their children, Joel and Janae; one step-brother: Leland and wife Jeanne Krull of Mesa, AZ; and Jeanettes mother, Jeanettes siblings and their spouses, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Jeanette Kleinwolterink, step-mother, Anna Kleinwolterink; brother and his wife, Roger and Carol Kleinwolterink; and father-in-law, Ben Fedders.
