Obituary: Rev. Betty Lou Kiser, 86, Kokomo, went to be with our Lord at 3:03PM , May 21, 2015 at St Joe. She was born 30, 1928 to Hollis Claud Conkle and Edna Merle (Cragun) Conkle. On the 6th of May, 1950 she married Richard E. Kiser. He survives her. She was a 1948 graduate of Kokomo High School. Betty worked at Reliance Corporation, Blye Bridal Shoppe, and Indian Heights Baptist Day . She was a Charter Member of the Family of God Foursquare Gospel Church in Kokomo, where she taught school and Childrens Church. Being a Child Evangelist, she had also taught for a while with Six Child Evangelism, and had held many Childrens Bible Clubs in her home. In May 1979 she and her husband Richard were both Ordained Commissioned as Founding Missionaries to Sri Lanka and India. She served in Sri Lanka and India for 81/2 years. There she trained others how to reach Children for Jesus, using various types of Visual Aids and Childrens Songs. There is a Childrens Day named for her in Kangayam, Tamil Nadu, India (Bettys Day ). Since 2005 she has been an active member of Woodland Church of God, in Kokomo. Preceding her in death are her parents, and her son, Hollis C. Kiser. Surviving Betty is a son, David W. Kiser (Mae), Kokomo, daughter, Anna L. Aichele (Steven), Fort Wayne, five grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. Services for Betty will be , May 26th, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo, with Pastor Michael Alley officiating. The family will offer visiting hours prior to the service from 11:00AM to 1:00PM. In lieu of flowers, please direct Memorial contributions to The Kiser Conference and Campground, in Sri Lanka, The Blessed Land. |
