Obituary: , 18, 2015 Marjorie Hagan Jones, 94, departed this world to enter into eternal life with our Lord. The first years of her life were lived in Nassau , FL. Upon graduation from Hilliard High School, she moved to Jacksonville where she resided her entire life. She was an active member of Murray Hill Baptist for 65 years and an active volunteer of the Murray Hill Civics for many years. Her employment included Southern Bell, Moving & Storage and she retired from a position in telecommunications with the U.S. Government. She was an active member of NARFE. retirement, her love of travel took her all around the United States including Alasak, Hawaii as well as Canada. She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Robert T. (Tom) Jones and 3 daughters, Patricia Dixon(Jim Calvert), Cynthia (Bill) Horne, Darnell (Lindsey) Dunaway. Predeceased by parents Joe and Nellie Keen Hagan, 5 brothers: Clinton, James, Gervin, Raleigh, Grady and 4 sisters: Ruby OConnell, Mary Norton, Madge Edwards and Louise Colton. Survived by 4 sisters: Etna Kinghorn, Kathryn Parrish, Betty Jo Allen, Norma Heintzleman (Richard). Grandchildren: Charles Shults (Elizabeth), Sandy Bruce (Perry), Christopher Shults (Maria), Abigail Cain (Jeff), Ben Dunaway (Rachel), Katie Dunaway (Patrick Quattlebaum). Great grandchildren: Charles, Amber, Elysia, Shawn, Edith, Allie and Austin as well as numerous nieces and nephews. under the care of Hardage-Giddens Town & Country . A visitation will be held at Murray Hill Baptist Church, 4300 Post St., Jacksonville, FL 32205 on , 21, 2015 from 10-11am with funeral services to begin at 11am. Interment to follow at 2pm at Riverside Memorial Park. Our sincere gratitude goes to the many gracious caregivers who so lovingly cared for our Mother. In lieu of flowers, offerings may be made to Queen of Angels, 1645 Barlett Ave., Orange Park, FL 32073 where Mother was cared for with love and compassion. |

Obituary: Marion L. Jones, 91 of Apopka, FL and formerly of New Bedford, MA, passed away on May 12, 2017. She was born in New Bedford, MA on May 20, 1925 to Antonia and Emma (Kieselmann) Nicholaev. She worked for over 20 years at the New Bedford Standard Times and was a member of Grace Episcopal Church. moving to Florida, she was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Maitland, FL. Marion was very active and loved to travel, paint and read. She served her church as a member of the Altar Guild. The pride of her life though was being a grandma and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Noel D. Jones; her daughter, Nancy L. Jones, her parents Antonia E. and Emma (Kieselmann) Nicholaev and her brother, Frederick A. Nicholaev. She is survived by her loving daughter, Mary L. Sliwa; her son-in-law Michael J. Sliwa, her grandsons: Michael J. Sliwa Jr. and wife Jennifer; David M. Sliwa and wife Melissa;; her great grandsons David M. Sliwa Jr. and Jacob A. Sliwa; her niece, Diana M. NIcholaev, her nephew Frederick A. Nicholaev Jr. and by her life long friend Dorothy Gammans. A Graveside service will be held at the Rural , New Bedford, MA on , May 19 at 9:00 AM.
